Congrats once again go to Vtracing who takes the win with a sensational time 👍 Vexd bags 2nd with an equally impressive run and i manage to hold off for 3rd with my only clean lap of the week :indiff: Speedy Samurai takes 4th just 0.432 ahead of Goixoye in 5th who was on a charge this week, Onlyme gets 6th place just ahead of another charger RedOak in 7th. Kolyana picks up 8th and Steve57 rounds off the submissions this week for 9th. Smaller turnout this week then but respect and congrats to all who managed a clean lap, its no easy feat and good times were achieved by all, picking up valuable points in the process 👍

1) Vtracing 7'05.638
2) Vexd 7'09.544
3) Dave George 7'18.044
4) Speedy Samurai 7'21.252
5) Goixoye 7'21.684
6) Onlyme 7'24.734
7) RedOak 7'24.985
8) Kolyana 7'25.630
9) Steve57 7'33.309

The leaderboard is shaping up nicely and proving that regular drivers are getting the benefit of their efforts 👍

Onto week 9 and a stormer of a car in the SL55 AMG, this thing eats tarmac and should provide an interesting week indeed!

Just like to say thanks to everyone for your continued interest and support, Its so good to see positive feedback in the threads, to see people having fun and learning makes it more than worthwhile for me :)

Please feel free to discuss week 8 and post replays, mine will be up quicker than last week when i get round to finding it (Damn Maxdrive software 👎 )

cheers

Yo,

Congrats to everyone who got a time in; this week was not easy. I must admit that I spent more time than I should have on this week, I probably drove about 400-500 miles.

I enjoyed this car enormously because it seemed to respond to my preferred style of driving, which is to try and carry a bit of oversteer through the corners. That usually meant I was back on the power very early. And that, of course, means a good exit speed and a higher speed on the straights.

I also didn't see the need to fiddle with the gear ratios once I set them at 13, with the exception that I lengthened top gear to .730 from the original .740. That's because I was hitting the limiter before Tiergarten.

In all honesty, I thought this lap was pretty scrappy, particularly early on. I had seen much faster initial splits that I hadn't been able to complete.

Here's the replay (PAL):

oh man i'm so glad of this week's efforts. I know i could probably have done better, but it was luck i could get this fast already... ahhhh...

Congrats podii and all. Looks like VT and Vexd are in a league of their own with Dave as a tweener and the rest of us bunched up like one of those rugby scrums (if I used the terminology correctly? stoopid Americans). Good job Speedy...you charged hard and spanked me pretty good in the final 2 sectors.

Really enjoyed this week although toward the end I was ready for something else. Very tense driving.

Another close finish goixoye. I thought you had me for sure.

Heres my replay for PAL users 👍

Should be spending some time tomorrow analysing your setups for week 7 and 8 so feel free to repost them here if you didnt mention them before :)

cheers

Ah, VEXD, I have a light touch on the wheel.... :p Plus I turn the force feedback settings down to mild.

Every car I've driven has lighter steering and less kickback than you get with the DFP on full feedback. Even my Subaru.

Have a look at the replay, you'll see how much time was still left out there.

Well done everyone, looks like you all came to grips (no pun intended) with the Lotus
I salute you 👍.

Me on the other hand just could not put a quick lap together, I could feel and see what
needed to be done (thanks vexd for the tips) to get a quicker lap but never did alas :ouch:.
Thats not too say it wasnt any fun, I did enjoy the way the car handled (not over the bumps)
and managed to clock up about 650 km, but that faster time alluded me all week.

 To All
