ok this isnt related to music but since theyre on the radio i figured this was the only place i could post this. i was just wondering if anyone knows what happend to them? i dont know if anyone here knows who they are but they had a radio show in NY. they were like howerd stern but way better. but anyways they got fired for holding a contest where these people had sex in a church. i was just wondering if anyone here who knows them could tell me if they have another job or what. and if no one here does and thinks im just plain stupid, then verbally kick my ass.
 
I have no idea what you're talking about.

However, this is a Music forum, not a Radio forum, so I'm going to fling it across to The Rumble Strip for you.

Former Shock jocks from Boston. Fired from Waaf, and then various other stations.

At this point, I doubt they have another job, or are likley to get back on the radio. It's very likely that the FCC would not grant them a new license.

One quick google search and I found their lovely little site.

It doesn't seem all that surprising to me that as an avid listener you couldn't take two seconds and type in opieandanthony.com

If a Moderator would like to delete this, I'd not take offense as the site on the other end isn't "in good taste". But maybe one bored brain dead kid could use the link.

I listened to O&A before they got really really immature.
Then I stopped.
In the end Don & Mike were better than O&A

And this really doesn't belong in the music forum anyway because its talk radio.
 
ya well sorry it wasnt in the rigtht place. and i did go to thier site but i found what you told me. i just thought there might me some big fan here that could tell me more. thanks for telling me baisically what i already new. adur. :banghead:

wow i didnt know this many people would hate o & a. i actually liked them. but i guess my sense of humor is different. but you people call them immature. they were just people who liked to entertain and they had fun on the job. but you people who cry and call that kind of entertainment "immature" are just people who take life waaaay to seriously. ya i agree they cant act like that all the time and make it in life. and if they did they wouldnt have been making millions. but you can also blame that on the idiocy of america today. i agree that those people having sex in a church was a little too far. and they even knew it themselves. but dont down thier show just because you think its "immature." if you didnt like it you didnt have to listen. they may be out of a job now but theyre still laughing thier way all the way to the bank.

Actually no - I like more sophisticated humour. The kind of stuff that they find funny, to me, simply isn't. Sorry.

I watch Dave Letterman and Craig Kilborn on CBS instead of immature Jay Leno and absolute loser Conan O'Brien, for one.
 
i think you can call dave letterman immature. i mean he throws things off a building for the hell of it. but i agree about conan. hes stupid. he tries too hard.

Morning radio is very sad. I can't believe people will fill their heads with that crap first thing in the morning. Why not just put a bag of **** in the car with you. Same affect.
 
In the UK, a lot of stations think that loud northerners shouting = funny.

They are all incorrect.
