The C5 Corvette tends to get passed over for the newer Corvettes, but the pop-up headlights lend it a certain charm that fixed headlights can't give to a car.

The 1990 Nissan Silvia. Stock and with comfort medium tyres it's great fun! Basically it's the kind of car in which 200 km/h feels really fast and it's a completely different feeling compared to the supercars where 200 is just a stage you're going through while waiting for 300... Also, I have a soft spot for late 80's / early 90's cars. I painted my car wine red and it looks fantastic :)

I personally love the jay leno tank car

said nobody ever.

Seriously, did you know you could put dirt / snow tires on that? What madman would subject themselves to that. It's totally bonkers to drive with a wheel.

I love it too! You have to try it at Chamonix, it's fantastic :)
Speaking of obscure fun, some weeks ago I was in an obscure online lobby. We were two guys with Tank cars going around Nordschleife at night. In reverse gear. Hilarious! Must have been a first in the history of Gran Turismo. We're still waiting for the trophy though.

I recently got the Jensen Healey Interceptor and tuned it to the max, putting out 700hp it's really good drifter on sports hard tires. Also looks mean when I painted it titanium metallic.

Hyundai Clix Concept. Well balanced 4WD, drives a bit like an Audi Quattro, and tunes up nicely. Great fun on or off road: you can throw it about through the corners and get four wheel drifts as you power out.

Someone chose it in a Car of the Week thread - probably never would have touched it otherwise.

Alfa Romeo
1965 GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106

I really enjoy it. It handles really smooth and it's just a fun ride in a race car that I personally enjoy and I don't ever see a lot of talk about it.

It is a reward car that really has no use in either the Aspec or Bspec races by the time you unlock it and it costs $10 million otherwise, so that might be why it doesn't get a lot of attention, but I always find it fun to drive nonetheless.

The TRD Celica is a blast to throw around. The little thing has more oversteer than any FF car I've ever seen. It's bizarre to drive an oversteering FF car, I highly recommend it.

The Spoon S2000 Race car is always a real joy to drive , well infact any of the Spoon cars in the game are really nice to drive. Also love driving the Mines R34 GT-R and been having a lot of fun in my Stealth GT500 GT-R

The Amuse S2000 GT1 '04 - it gets passed up over the Turbo version, but IMO the '04 model looks and handles oh so much better.

Probably the car I've put the most miles on is my Grand Prix White '04, nicknamed 'Minerva'. (Not counting my Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, that's my 4WD Seasonal moneymaker at 446 PP.

Just picked up the Alfa Romeo Brera Sky Window today - and I'm loving the choice. I was a bit turned off by the 8C Competizione's horrendous handling in the Grand Tour Special Event, but after I tuned this sucker up... three straight wins and a second in a 505 PP lobby versus S2000's and BMW's. Freaking brilliant.

Indeed, good list! I especially love driving the Wedssport Celica, that thing just kills.

a MITSUBISHI 3000GT VR-4 Turbo. in black. that was my dream car.
I once asked my father, what his first car was, he answered a DODGE STEALTH, in black. So i googled it and realized...
the Dodge looks exactly the same as the Mitsubishi...

XS
Infiniti G20 ‘90

Fun car indeed. I drive a 96 irl and it handles nicely. Ingame version is actually the touring package though which is the only option mine dosnt have.

My favorite fun to drive cars are:

Toyota MR2 Supercharged
Toyota AE86 (Shuichi Shigeno Version and the regular one)
RUF CTR Yellowbird
BMW 2002 Turbo
Ford RS200
Any FC or FD (not rare but fun to drive)
Nissan Skyline GTS versions

And of course the racing karts are always tons of fun. :)

try the Suzuki GSX-R-4 concept.
KTM X-Bow style.
fully tuned is it a hell of a thing.

Chrysler 300C. Easily the most fun car in the entire game, but doesn't get enough credit.

Audi A2. 'Nuff said.

MAZDA LANTIS

You would not believe how few people even see this thing in the game at all. Overlook it at your peril though, because it is a top FF. I have 10 models alone of it in my garage, and 5 of them make up part of my tuning garage.

I think a few of the Celica ST gens count as a few of these. They're perfectly fine cars, yet you never see them ever. The KPGC110 and Amuse S2000 Street Version might well count for this as well.

I started driving the Subaru Cusco Dunlop Impreza GT300 car and my god I thought I was driving on racing softs in the 4WD seasonal, it's completely stock only started to break it in, but it drove so smoothly not a single spin out - which is amazing as I've only just recently started driving with only ABS 1 and most other cars I've driven without TCS and ASM have spun out a couple of times.

I think it's such a shame that the GT300 cars have been overlooked re events either offline or in a seasonal - they're fantastic cars, especially the Impreza completely stock.

Nissan R390 GT1 road car? its a new one to me. Appeared in the UCD for just under 1 million, with 31km on odometer. ::ppurchase:: It only goes 150 stock but a fine car on tracks that don't get that fast.

Can't have too many MR sports cars and a Japanese one is always welcome. AWD isn't really for me...

Mazda Autozam...

As a drift car :D
Eventhough you often get kicked online, it's great fun on tracks like Tsukuba.

Haha, yeah it is a fun car. I like to take mine around the 'ring. It's fast, off the top of my head I think the Autozam comes pretty close to the 8 minute mark or faster. Now I'm curious and want to do a lap 💡

I can't believe how much grip this car has. I took it around the Nurburgring a couple days ago and could have sworn I was on racing slicks. The only problem, as mentioned, is the tranny. The 150 mph top speed stock absolutely kills it.

Any of the 3000GT's. Quickly becoming some of my favorite cars to drive,

They are great, especially for me the 96 VR-4, i wish i had it in real life.
Torque sensing differential set to 10/90 for me for the FR performance and 4WD recoverablility is great for me!

The Stealth is based on the Mitsubish GTO (3000GT known here in the states)

if you tune the nissan, it becomes the fastest road car.
it's the only roadcar that broke the 1:50 mark on my eifel track!

Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) V-Spec (premium). Tune it up and it is very fun, but overlooked and overshadowed by the R34 and R35.

Especially the tc version of the r33,lots of understeer, but with a good tune,it's a monster to beat

Gotta say of the Skyline TCs, the 33 is my fav. The GT-R TC is also a grip beast, but is not as fun to drive.

The Opera S2000 is a car often overlooked because of its low power output, but man can that thing fly.
