Occasionally Recurring WSIWYG Problem

Okay, so sometimes when I go to change the format (be it font or size, it doesn't matter) of something I've type up, it bugs out. This was happening to me a couple of minutes ago, and it has happened to me in the past.
I type something up:

Highlight it to change the font and size, as I normally do:

Select my font:

And Boom! Order is messed up in my post, some things didn't change and things are randomly moved around. The same thing occurs when I change size in these cases:

Its not that big of a problem, as I can go in quick edit and fix it, but just to let you know.

Couldn't you set your Font Settings before you start typing? That's what I usually do, I've just gotten in the habit of doing it.

The I have to go back and turn it off for quotes and sometimes smilies.

I don't really know what's going on here, as the WYSIWYG editor is created by the commercial forum software developers and is beyond my realm of expertise to fix or troubleshoot. It may be a bug that's corrected in the next version, but I cannot say anything for sure. Can you replicate this in other browsers?
