Odd , GT5 froze while exititing an online lobby

When it froze the letters were still moving and i could still here my pall.
my ps3 was still responsive * xmb menu* so it wasn't a system freeze GT5 just froze, i quit the game? Cant be my laser i just got it replaced 3 months ago and i just ran uncharted 3 * if anything is ever wrong with your PS3 this game will tell you* i also just took my ps3 apart to clean it but that has nothing to do because i had already played U3 online and no freezing ? Is that a GT5 glitch ?
Or is my ps3 giving me the dead blue ray ?

Happens from time to time.

Before you start next time:

1. Make sure you are hardwired to your modem. No routers. Also, reset your modem.
2. Update your time via internet and sync your trophies.
3. Start your game, go into options, then clear your system cache.
4. Disable custom music.
5. Save game. Then begin like you normally would.

This process is long, but it's saved me a ton of hassle in the long run.

HAHA pall trust me your list is missing things any ways glad to here its an in game problem, and iv ran custom music since launch day with zero problems , but il give it a try.

If you've been playing since launch, I'm surprised you've just encountered a lock up. It's been happening for quite some time. While custom music isn't THE problem, it has been shown to contribute to multiple problems when racing, lock ups included.

Enlighten me. What is my list missing?

Happens to me all the time. For some reason, my PS seems to object when you try to exit out of the online menu without allowing it to fully load the menu first. But as long as you let it fully load before you quit out of it then I find it works fine.

A HARD wired connection not WiFi , rested your modem not just router 👍
and get a new router possible , best 2 tips you can give.

Ahh that's why, it was loading my palls car when i exited.

Im not insulting or making fun of him i Had just read a post by him on another thread and it was longer, my question was if it was normal for the game to do that or was it my ps3 and i did up above.

It's normal for the game, although obviously not something that's wanted. Rest assured, PD know about it, and hopefully this new update will address the issue.

I hope that's what the latest maintenance notice is for, like a lot of people i've been having huge connection problems since 2 weeks now.
