This thread is for anyone who has played Final Fantasy 10 and wants to discuss it.

Well then, lets start with a question::lol:
What is your favorite part in the story?

My favorite part is when the party slides down the rails attached to the airship to reach the altar in Bevelle.

my fav part of the story? when they showed the ending some people cried litteraly go and ask them! but i hated the last boss he was too easy to beat but im not gonna spoil for those non-hardcore FF people out there

I haven't played the game in awhile but it is a very good game. My favorite part was when I got the big monster that Seymour has(I can't remember its name).

1) those are both the same thread

2) Those were ratings, this thread is about the game content

3) As long as a mod doesn't say anything, this thread should be fine. You worry too much:lol: J/K

I actually was playing FF X for the first time a week ago. I like the story basically, and loved the true turn based combat, as opposed to the ATB mode in FF X-2 (I played FFX-2 first, but didnt finish it, decided to buy FF X first so I could understand the story better).

So, I get to the part where I have to go up against Seymour Flux or something, and then that same day, my TV gives up on me! :irked:

Now, I haven't had any time to get my TV fixed, but yeah maybe tomorrow. Can't wait to finish it! :)

That was probably my biggest gripe, the end boss was way way way way way to easy. It was like designed for little 10 yr olds to beat.

Hmmm... well, there were many other difficult bosses in this game; such as Yunalesca, Seymour (Omnis and Flux) and Geosganeo (because you end up stuck with Rikku in that fight, and you have no magic casters).

Quite frankly, I don't give a s*** if the last boss is easy to beat; it just means that you get to see the ending that much quicker.

Agreed. The last bost couldn't even stand up to one round of punishment from my characters.

But if you want a challenge - it's all about the Monster Arena. Catch and beat all the monsters the old man tells you to and you'll unlock a bunch of fairly powerful new monsters. Honestly speaking, they aren't as hard as the Diamond and Ruby Weapons from FF7, but the Monster Area "bosses" in 10 do take some effort.

As for the storyline, it's been so long since I played that I can't remember the little bits and pieces to the story. What I loved was the Sphere Grid - the setup and use of that grid allowed a player to do their own thing. I found my own challenge in trying to fill that up completely for each character. In the end, I wasn't so interested in finishing the game, but trying to finish out that grid. And damn near 200 hours into the game, I wasn't complaining one bit.

Diamond and Ruby Weapons from FF7,

They aren't hard when you know what to do and you have the right equipment. Although they probably are the most challenging of bosses in an RPG.

Yep, it pretty much came down to patience, paying attention and an occassional gamble - so long as you had some "creative" materia combos available.
