Taking driving to the next level… pushing your car beyond its limit, all for the sake of improvement. Welcome to the world of International Drift Mayhem; A place where defying the laws of lateral adhesion is only limited by your desire to improve, and where the laws of physics are constantly being bent.

We hope to bring great challenge to the teams out there, and set new standards for the teams to come. We strive to bring new respect to the art of drifting. To IDM Members, the fact that drifting is an entertaining show is secondary to the fact that drifting is a great way to increase a driver’s skill in general. Learning to manage oversteer in a unique and graceful way is something to be looked upon with as much respect as those who set extremely fast lap times.

The phrase is reffering to pushing the limits of any given vehicle.... I'm not sure how you arived at the conclusion that had anything to do with speed drifting specifically?.... Pushing the limits of the car means just that, Pushing the limits of a respected vehicle to it's absolute limit (traction, and/or speed, and/or control, etc...).

We have speed drifters as well as exhibition drifters on IDM (and some who do both)....

We do not discriminate....

Not much news right now.... We are currently waiting for the beginning of September, when our server will be back up.... Then we will be starting some events/challenges which should be a lot of fun... Stay tuned....

I have a few (really old) sport-tire equipped R33 powerdrifting videos I'd like to offer up...what is required to become an IDM member? Or is it not open to public recruitment?

Either way, here are the videos. Keep in mind that I've improved greatly by switching to sim tires and RWD vehicles. My video-capturable PC exploded and I can't currently procure anymore videos, but I'm working on rebuilding it. ^^;

International Drift Mayhem's policy for recruitment is strictly invite-only. We are very firm on this policy because we wish to keep our team filled with people that we believe will create a better environment for our team.

Drifting skills, additude, and activeness all weigh heavily on your chance for an invitation. If you wish to be noticed, we suggest you actively post on our forums, as well as over on GTPlanet. Be helpful, and help the community flourish, and we in turn will help you.

It really encourages me to ask for a spot on that list.

Although, I don't expect that to happen immediately.


BAZZ (Ed) has expressed an interest in forming a combined effort to produce a short video, but said he wanted to make sure with you guys before going ahead with it, whether that's happened or not(?).

I said I'd throw a shout-out to IDM in the credits at the end.
