Yo so, I was doing some testing for myself on the track used in the online, and I know what car I'll be using for GT now. I need to tweek it a lot though, but to be honest I'm really liking it thus far. Dibs on the Audi R8 4.2 FSI R tronic '07 when we're finished testing. You might as well put that as my car of choice now, tbh. Now to find a black/green colour combo for it, to match my driver avatar. :)
 
I want to take the 908 HDi FAP - Team Peogeot Total '10, but I know I saw a few other people testing it. If they'd like to take it, then I will be ok driving something else to give more variety in the field.
 
I'm all cool with you telling us what car you will be using but we are using the 5.2 Audi r8 not the 4.2 so if you still wanna use the Audi fine but I just want you to know what is the right car

I will be using for sure the CTR9 1996 so polar when you get the chance please update everyones cars

Does it really make a difference? The cars are practically the same when theyre toned down this much and they are identical
 
Alright if everyone can post what car they plan on racing this season could you please post here so I can update the main post
 
Well I don't necessarily mind, but ideally, this should have been specified a lot sooner. But thank you for allowing the 4.2. I would have used the 5.2, but I can play around a lot more with the 4.2 since it can be stripped to a lower weight and the car doesn't dip so much when you bump the car's bhp up to spec. I noticed that a lot of the cars running will end up having their torque fall drastically, but there's a nice curve to the 4.2's.
 
Alright so to avoid another bad race like tonight's here are going to be a little recap of what should of happened 1. The dp cars werent really double file coming onto the start straight more like 3 in one line and one dude was like chilling out by himself what I mean by double file Is two rows side by side but that probubly didn't need explaining 2. Not sure of this was a problem but some one asked me if using the run off at the turn after the last of the "long" straights was legal- no and cutting the last chicane is illegal too
 
Don't worry about it storm use which ever one of the R8 you wanna use
 
Thanks ever so much. I just used a colour combo as you said it, so I was a bit like "Ahhh should've waited 5 mins." lol, but I'm glad you are allowing it now. Pics coming soon.
 
Lol didn't know there was a letter limit but I'm going to pick up now and cutting the first chicane is frowned upon unless forced that being said don't be stupid and make yourself be forced off. But other than that the race wasn't too bad exept for the lack of attendance.

Upcoming special rules for Daytona road course:
We will do a full pace lap in the beginning and the dp cars will start 10 seconds before gt to make sure a turn 1 incident doesn't affect innocent victims in another class

Also when exiting the pits you MUST use the pit exit road (don't go straight to the track go on the road that is separated by the blue wall) this is to avoid people on cold tires jumping out in front of another person this will be inforced because the turn 1 here is pretty hard

Gt cars letting dp cars past:

Gt cars are to let dp cars past when it is easiest turn 1 is not the place for this wait for the horseshoe or a straight dp drivers remember that us gt drivers are racing too if you come up on a gt battle wait until the NASCAR part of the track if possible to pass this will be more of a problem at Daytona and the rest of the season as none of the other tracks are as long as le manns

Well said polar well said I just have one thing to add to that we will be trying a full course yellow at daytona to make sure everyone knows how to do a caution with or without a pacecar

Alright I think jfilyaw may call cautions my connection disconnects me when I talk (only on this game...weird) but he's good with that stuff

Ok but we need someone to call when people in the GT class crash as well as the DP class because the DP class will be so far away unless they are lapping the Gt class
 
Sorry I had to drop out. I was having a few problems. Not sure what lmp to drive though. I prefer to not use the Peugeot but well see.

If you have a USB memory stick it's easy. Go to your album, find the icon that allows you to export to your XMB, export it, go to your PS3 interface and look in your photo's section. It should be in there. Then you just copy it to the USB, plug that into your PC and upload the photo to your GTP album.

Not sure if anyone cares but I just put up some pictures of a daytona prototype car that they had at the brickyard 400 NASCAR race I went to it was really cool I got to sit in it and everything! Not sure why theyre upside down and I changed my profile picture to dale Jr driving past in the pit lane (with my dads work we got pit passes and everything! So cool we have gone to a few Indy 500's and all the f1 races in Indy and we plan on going to the Rolex and NASCAR super weekend this year and the indycar alms weekend at mid Ohio!

Lol wouldn't have guessed it's midnight here and I'm tired and bored lol
