Room is up this is the first race please join the room so we can get this race started

Ya but its ok me and polar are taking 2 weeks to get a solid set of rules tracks and cars for the series and we will try again it two weeks at daytona but maybe we are gonna do the races an hour or so earlier

first off im very sorry for this evening.

the majority of the problems were easily avoidible, like the waiting for some more people to show up. i was in the mentality of "alright jeff said hes on his way, once he gets in here were starting this thing", were as james was thinking more, lets wait for more people to show up. i think that we shouldve started this thing quick because if we keep waiting on everyone, well never start and itll tell people that its ok to show up whenever, as well wait for them. i wanted to start it to show people to be prepared and on time. ironic as neither me or james were very organized ourselves. not sure what / if jeff was saying at the end but im sure it was just his written message, just in word form and in more detail. im not sure how we dont know anything about racing, if anyone could tell me id like to know.the gt class was a disaster if you werent driving a r8 4.2 or a 458. the dp class... well no one showed up and im sorry manomeat as there was no one racing you and you were rightfully bored...bigtime. not sure how the race was souless, again if you could explain that that would be great. me and james both have to work alot on this and because this was the first race where people acually showed up, it kinda hit us like a ton of bricks. but we cant make any excuses because things shouldve been going more smothly between us. prime example: a few comments back he says "we are going to take 2 weeks to figure this out"... i never heard that. same thing with the cautions, neither of us were talking so we couldnt call a caution and we didnt even have a format, we didnt know if wed do sector cautions or full course cautions or what. the formation lap was a wreck too... literally. were going 75 mph dont bump into people! and we had somepeople with time zone issues... thats out of our hands too just like led's router messing up. that whole thing got out of control fast too, with jeff and people saying there going to redo or whatever their routers, most of them have been on all day, do it earlier in the day dont wait until theres a issue if you could prevent it. james reset his at about 6:20. that was a good time... then he left after a few laps i would have expected him to stay the thing out. i am sorry also for leaving early i got a message for james saying "join me" so i thought since he sent me a chat invitation titled "fixing series" that this would be something along those lines, i was wrong it was a invitiation to a dirt track/ short track race. so i apologise for the unnecisary early drop out. also the comments made about me argueing with james about all of his ideas. it shouldnt have been made in the room, it shouldve been saved for later (on here) were we can do things about it instead of it just being fuel on the already out of control room. the overall excecution of the race was poor and i believe that both james and i will be talking alot to imporve our communication and organization of the next race so we dont have a repeat of tonight. also keep in mind that this was our first league race of our own and also this was the first race people showed up to.

I was racing still and wasnt going to stop. And I am really sorry for the good drivers we have that do many other leagues and have been successful. Those people are used to a quality lobby and we weren't able to deliver a quality product and next week will be better

I'm not home right now I'm out on business matter but have enough time write a few things.

First off I'm not trying to come across rude at all but James was annoying me with his last minute demands and expecting everyone to roll with it.

Second I'm disappointed at the turn out but at the same time I had a feeling it was going to be small. I'm not going to say it but i dont like to hide the truth from people. The biggest reason I wanted to race was I miss being with my friends Niop and Phil. As we go way back and I enjoy their racing company.

This is where I want to ether start my own series with Niop and Phil or we can work jointly to get a good running series we can all enjoy. Seeing as you two are new to race hosting I'm willing to lend a hand to help out. If you don't want my help that's fine but if Phil and Niop leave I'm most like gong to follow them. Nothing personal but as a business owner I don't like waste my time or money.

very understandible ill probubly send you a pm later if not tomorrow. wed love to have someone with your experience helping us get this thing started with some steam. i think the first thing is getting a plan for the race days and procedures and then getting spec's for each gt car

Not a problem. Tomorrow I can write up a report you can look over. I'll talk more in the morning.

Ok now that we have a 3 series partner maybe we can get things running smother

I wouldn't jump to conclusions, he didn't say that he said he would help. If he wants to take it that far then cool, if not no big deal and that doesn't mean that we all will do less work. It means we will all do more work and you and I have to treat this week as if it's just you and me and make this upcoming weekend a success

If you need help with GT class specs, we can always go from here, this guy laid out his modification list very specifically:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=210822
With his permission perhaps we can use that as a base and tweak from there.

I might have difficulty showing up for the next 2 weeks for the race, but I can still show up for practice at least.
This is because I get <4 hours of sleep due to another league.

ya someone talk to him and ask him if we can use some of his stuff for are series or if he can at least help us get through this season

He has been busy with his business since last year which is why he stop his series.

Now if you look at that thread you will see that there is a lot of information there. Also there is a lot of idea that you don't have. Now with that in mind how could you come up with a way to improve that thread and use it as your own. Don't copy it as that is illegal and he could be very upset. This is a hint at you should try to lay the ground with a strong set of rules. Flexibility is not needed or wanted in structured racing.

Once you have a strong set of rules I'll give you your next objective.

Well we should probably take out a few cars from the GT class and stick with 4 cars that all the GT drivers would be happy with from the ones we already have in the rules

I think we should use 4 of the cars that he had for his series that everyone likes how does that sound

Aston Martin DB9
Audi R8
BMW M3
Corvette Z06
Dodge Viper
Ferrari 458 Italia/430 Scuderia
Ford GT
Jaguar XKR
Lamborghini Gallardo
Lexus LFA
Lotus Evora
McLaren MP-4 12C
Mercedes SLS
Nissan GT-R
RUF RGT
pick 4 of these cars and we will use the 4 that everyone picks the most

Aston Martin DB9
Ford GT
McLaren MP-4 12C
Nissan GT-R
these are the ones I pick

Is this a Rolex series or a gt3 series? What I thought he ment was to use what that guy did with the regulations for each car and use that format with the cars we have. I've started work on the 4 cars I choose out of our current cars, the 458, r8, viper and camero. I'm trying to get all of the cars without any tuning other than horsepower and balace to get them in the 1:46.400-1:46.600 to get a very balanced field. So far with the viper I've got it at 505hp and 1280 kg.i think if we change the weight for the gt class to 1280kg as gran turismo won't let us set the room at 1285 therefor making it impossible to check everyone's weight. So I'm going to check out the camero next and see how that goes.

I think we should pick 4 of the cars from his series that way everyone has a say in what the cars we are using so they can drive what they like

It wouldn't be a Rolex series then would it. I like the idea of 4 cars, but they should be cars accually used or it's just a multi class series if it's got all kinds of cars. Also I just finished the 458 up its 455 hp and 1280 kg

There we go and my list of cars is 2 American and 2 European cars, Ferrari 458 Audi r8 dodge viper srt10 Chevrolet camero, I think it's a pretty diverse grid and because the camero only goes down to 1318 kg it's going to have lots of hp. Just a heads up
