Hey whats goin on. i thought it would be a good idea for everyone who likes teh spoon civi type R to have a Quarter Mile time contest.

Basically you just get a spoon Civic Type R (Professional FF race) and mod it to the max and adjust the setting to get the best quartermile times.

For my civic i have 336 hp and run the quarter @ 12.764.


Anyone who has this beaten, what is your settings at?

hmm, I kinda liked seeing that car with 00.0 miles on that thing... I think I'll have to hold off then not save after I tune it and run it...
 
I hate the way the car runs up to what 16,000 rpms.
 
Hey whats the secret for getting a faster 1/4 mile time?

What i always do when trying to race is start off in second gear. This usually helps my times out a lot better.

Yes! I love this car, but what makes it even better is that it weighs 1,700lbs and with its power spread accross 18,000rpms it doesnt lose traction at the front when cornering.


Honestly one of the best FWD's in GT3. It doesnt have much torque, but with a 1,700lb car, and a 1.6L with 335hp and an 18,000rpm redline, you have to love it for all of its qualities. Plus it handles better than about 70% of the cars in GT3

I agree, but the last 1000 rpm it lacks a little bit of torque, but then again,the feeling when you shift at that point 😈 ... truely irresistable :cool: (<- spelling?)
 
Well, the only problem with it is that despite its lofty 18,000rpm redline, its power peak is at 9,900rpm so I always hesitate to rev all the way up.


My fastest 1/4 mile is 12.970

I have tried different tricks but nothing has done wonders for my times. I thought that shifting closer to its power peak might improve times, rather than going 8,000rpms past it, but my times were slower that way.

I am not sure if anyone will get any faster that 12.970 but I wouldnt be very surprised if they did.
 
Yea i noticed that you must take into account the gear ratios because the peak power may have passed, but the decline may not be significant enough to be lower than the output after upshifting. It's normally beneficial to run most cars up to their redline unless you have perfectly mapped out the power and know the perfect shift point or the the car has a steep power drop.
 
Well I was basically saying that even after the power has peaked and is declining it is still probably producing more power than the next gear would offer.

hey try starting off in second gear. I have imporved times greatly by doing this.
 
I just can't stand listening to the car. It sounds like a bug buzzing around me, and its worse with the surround sound on.
