I just want to know what people think the differences are.

Obviously I know you can't flip a car online, don't mention that but there are obviously some other differences that have nothing to do with that. I want to hear what people think.

Really all I've noticed, is online tires seem to have a little less lateral grip, and the seem to wear down at a different rate. Offline the cars seem to stick to the road much better.

I actually prefer the online physics just because of the reduced grip. The tires in GT5 in general have too much grip for the cars they come with, and for what they're supposed to be (so many cars come with sports hard, but in real life don't actually have semi-slicks).

So although the inability to flip cars is obviously less realistic, I personally prefer the online physics anways.

Actualy, if you go to photomode with sports hard tires on your car they will look like normal road tires but if you change to sports softs they will look like semi-slicks:sly:

Online draft is way stronger to say the least.

Fitting comfort tires on any JGTC or SuperGT will not change the look of the slick racing tires, so in GT5, things are really confusing with tires and their visual appearance.

Well Offline has to be better, plus there is no lag in sight

Lag doesn't effect driving physics. The only way you ever know if you're lagging is if someone tells you or if you see someone else flashing and lagging around the track. Lag doesn't effect the driving.

I hope you don't mean input lag, because even online GT5 has about as close to zero input lag as you can get. I've never played a sim with more instantaneous steering response, online or offline. This isn't shift 2, grid, f1 2011, or forza 4.

Could be but when I fitted SS tires on my Murcielago they looked like semi-slicks.
