Oil Change improves HP ??

Have just searched the forum to see if this was true or it was just a hoax, since I could only find some posts that said it wasn't true I decided to check on my own - took one of my Polyphony001 - Green/Yellow/White one and changed the oil on that - it came from 774 HP to 813, then I took my second Polyphony001 this one is in Black/Yellow/White and has 790 HP direct from the box, it has never been run at all - changed the oil on that one to - HP increased to 829, and improvement on 39 HP.

For some reason the oilchange has a efffect, how long it lasts is another issue :lol:
 
I'm guessing that you are new to GT3 if you didn't know about the whole change your oil when you first get the car and it increases you horsepower thing.
 
Not that new if he has a couple F1s to play with.

Not that new :) - just recently started to play it seriously in wait for the online feature in GT4, got 69 Race Cars in my Garage, All gold in Beginner and Amateur, ½ Gold in Profesional Series - nice thing about the wear that I didn't now anything about - but actually the thing about the oilchange was new - have never noticed it before, proberly because I newer change oil or wash the cars :O
 
Changing your oil reduces the friction of the engine.
It's life depends on how hard you run your car.
I mean if you change oil on a beetle it should last about 1500 miles or so(just a guess never tried).
Then on an F1 it should last about 200 miles or so because it is run harder.
 
Yeah, it does drop, especially near the end of most of the endurance races, which can be annoying if you're running a close race with the opposition as their oil never runs out.

DoZeRxXx: Oil starts to get dirty after 200km (126mi) on every car in the game. Also, the oil is completely dirty and the oil light comes on after 300km (189mi) on every car.
