(could could as easily be posted in the computers section, but I didn't want to be a nuicance and post or link)
Here's one for you.
I have a Logitech GT Force. It was designed for the PS2 and GT3. The thing is, I just tried it on the PC and it half works. By half, I mean the throttle doesn't go full, and the brakes don't go full, neither does the steering.
My computer registers it as a Wingman Formula Force GP. After doing research - it turns out it is exactly the same wheel as the GT Force, except it has some red rubber instead of the blue rubber. What's more, it was aimed at PC users. This meant it came with some software that allowed for calibration etc etc, and generally helped manage the wheel - which means I could calibrate the wheel so that the throttle, brakes, steering and Force feedback do what they should on the PC.
I have looked high and low for downloads for the software. To my knowledge, it isn't illigal because Logitech used to freely distribute it from their website, but I can't see anything that's telling me they do now. I can't find the Logitech Gaming Software v.5.08 (the most recent) on their website - but I did manage to get hold of v.4.60 (apparently compatible with the Wingman - hence also with the GT Force).
After trying to run the program on my win.7, it said it is not compatible with 64.bit windows (what I'm running with).
So what I'd like help with after all that:
** Could you guys possibly help me look for the LGS v.5.08.
** Is there ANY way that I can get the LGSv.4.60 to work on my win7 64bit? I have heard claims that there's a folder for 32bit programs in 64bit, but I can't find it, and it doesn't ask me for a directory before running. Even if it loads in Program Files (x86) it still doesn't want to work.
** Suggest any other way I can get this thing going.
I don't realy want suggestions on getting a new wheel. I know I should get one, its on my list, but I'm desparate to play some rFactor with this wheel.
Any help is appreciated.
