I see alot of people registering, I can't even look at a thread for 20 minutes and a new member has registered. Would it be smart or not smart to delete members after 1 year of inactivity. Of course you would give them a notice that they've been deleted for being inactive or whatever.

I am. So delete them. But I'm also talking about the people that register have maybe one or two or even three posts but they haven't posted or been active on GTP for more then a year. I can't believe a person being inactive and then out of nowhere a member comes back and posts after one year of being inactive at GTP.

If we do that, then some members who go away for a while will have there accounts deleted, and that's not good. Magic0069 (i think that is his name) came back after a while and what if he came back with no account? I think it is stupid. Plus, I think Jordan gets more money for the more registered users.

So den do don't deniez you be hidenz mez different lifez. What the biznap? You just worriez about yoz own azz. Bez heard yoz?

VipFREAK's problem with literacy aside, Jordan has often stated that there is little need to remove "inactive" member's accounts, as they really don't take up any space at all.

I thought it would take up space. Nevermind then.

But I mean it's unbelievable everytime I get out of this thread I see a new member. It's just amazing.

Well who would go away for over a year?

I knew Jon(moderator here), pretty well, but he left to join the marines, what if he comes back after awhile?

Geez, besides, if there are old members who have posted a long time ago, there posts will still show up even if you delete them, except the post author will be called Guest. Even more annoying.

Like I've said a million times before, there is no technical reason to delete inactive accounts.

I did a search and nothing came up so sorry.

Since I don't want to make another thread I'll post this here.

What does the astrick(sp?) mean?
