Old Driving Force Pro not working

Alright, I'm new here, so please go easy on me. Anyways, I bought this DFP on eBay without power adapter, and bought adapter separately. However, it refuses to self calibrate, nor register axis input/button presses. Also left LED is blinking the whole time. Anyone have any ideas? It pretty much acts like nothing is plugged in when there is.

If the LED is blinking all the time then it's a power issue.
 
Sorry I haven't had the time to reply, but I forgot to mention that I am aware that this is a power issue. I've tried two known working power bricks (both 12V 2A, center positive etc.) and yes I am aware that power specs are 24v 0.75A but others have had even 9V bricks working EDIT albeit with weaker FFB. I pulled the darn thing apart and cannot find a single thing amiss. Board looks fine etc. but still no clue. Anyone have/had this wheel and can offer troubleshooting tips?
 
And I also nearly forgot to mention that left LED shuts off when I rotate wheel from center to left to right, which is what it would normally do on it's own correct?
