Old GT features that should return

I want prize cars back. I don't like that you can buy every car in the game, it bugs me.

The ability to delete single lap times from the leaderboard(GT4).

I get fed up when I want to set a car up and I do a lap, then I change something and do a lap, then I change someting else and do a lap. By then, I already have 3 timed laps on my leaderboard, pushing other previous times from other cars, off the table. Before I know it, the table consist of lap times of one car only.

To try to get round this, I have to pick a track that normally wouldn't be one of my favourites for fear of making a mess of the leaderboard. Either that or, make sure I turn the time red at some point to stop the time from being clocked.

For me, it's as important as the settings sheet is. I want to be able to set a time, change something and if I beat the time, delete the old one and thereby, keep my leaderboards organised.

Yes, couldn't agree more! Also great if top 20 rather than 10 was there with info on tyres used & performance points.

Xp points given by the car you choose comparing to other competitors. Racing with a slower car gives you more Xp. I remember it that way in gt4.

I 100% agree i have seen on here i think that everything in all the previous Grand Turismo's should be in GT5 its maddness how they have droped things and some of them are good things too

I miss the tuning option from gt2 i think , you can buy traction and asm .

I might be going mad but does anyone remember holding R2 or L2 to force staying in a gear and not change up when using auto gears? Might be GT2 or 3.
Completely pointless but I always thought I got a mph or two by redlining each gear.

The 1st GT I owned was GT3 and I used automatic for a time. I'd use the hold gear in some corners to prevent uneccesary gear changes. Now I just use manual, easier and more fun - like real life

Yes the odometer and trip meter were useful. I'm particularly disappointed the odo doesn't work on premium cars on the actual dial.

The point of qualifying (in GT3 at least) was to setup the car for the track, like a practice session in Formula 1.

Didn't prologue have a feature to set the maximum steering angle for cars? Can't remember though if it changed the quickness of the steering rack or just limited turning angle?

The Supra from GT1 is from 1995 (I think) and the car in GT5 is from 97. The NSX is from 1995 and yes they are the same (sans livery).
