I don't know, if you ask me we're using the music from one game we've bought to play it in the sequel of said game with a feature implemented by the creator of both games involved.

Anyone now what this song/tune is? I think originally it was used for the intro to the BBC 1991 F1 season review... It was also used for the intro to the 1991 mod for Grand Prix 4 (notice the graphics included.)




Also Fuji TV intro, not bad graphics for 89

 
I am going to use the Tourist Trophy soundtrack. I love the menu music for TT

And this, OMG how could I forget Lotus... This game tracks were awesome for its time... very moody.

And I already have this one... NFS soundtracks were great in the same way the games were great... when the games stink, the soundtrack does too... NFS Most Wanted had the last good soundtrack on the series. One or two tracks from Pro Street were good too. But its NOTHING near TNFS and NFS2SE

Oh and I have always thought of trying this but I actually like GT5's Menu music and appreciate the Soundtrack.
 
Callista is possibly the best soundtrack song ever made and I'm not kidding (I even thought it was rubbish).

More on topic. I would love to see the GT1 menu music in GT5, my favourite manufacturer was Honda, it has something really mystical to it, just SO epic!

Another reason we probably like those GT1 tunes so much is because the menus were easy to navigate and super quick to load, everything just flowed so smoothly. Two consoles later and it's a different story, figure that.

Interesting fact about this song: it's called "Truth" and is, to this day, a classic tune performed by jazz-fusion band T-Square (The Square). And it was composed by Masahiro Andoh. Ring any bells???

Yes, Masahiro Andoh, the composer of "Moon Over The Castle", the official Gran Turismo theme in Japan.

And "Moon Over The Castle" is usually performed a bit differently by T-Square on their live setlist, with another name: Knight's Song.

And here it is... Masahiro is the guitarist that appears right after the initial piano solo.


I became a fan of T-Square after this discovery. Much of their work is very related to the songs featured in GT menus. And just to relate even more, the drummer on T-Square nowadays is Satoshi Bandoh, composer of many songs from GT5 Prologue and GT5. Here is his own interpretation of "Afterglow", a GT5 menu music featured in his first solo album, "Happy Life".

I really hate the menu's in GT5, dar too clunky, and as you said, loading times suck!

And most of all.. the menu music is GOD AWFUL!!!
 
I have a mix of all GT games (apart from Concepts and GTHD) for menu music and god does it bring back some memories :').
