Old GT6 Versions Advantages

why do some stay in 1.00 or some version that isn't current? The game has gotten so much better better (content-wise), so why do people decide not to update? Is there an advantage?

If you stay on game version 1.xx then this or that works to get whatever content PD doesn't want us to have. (Infinite money, frozen black BMW...)

For example, I waited until the most recent seasonal races were released before I updated to 1.17 because of the transmission bug.

content-wise, yes, I can agree with you at some point. But physics-wise, the game has gotten so much worse worse. Pre-1.09, everything was fine. But starting 1.09, everything just kept going down, and down, and down, into a downward spiral. IMO the new content won't really be a real treat if you can't enjoy it fully because of the "updates" they do to the game physics.

I agree. Just before 1.09 came out I had finally figured out how to tune properly and had some cars that handled extremely well ( to my driving style ) Then the update changed the physics and I had to re-learn everything. I started getting better and then somewhere around 1.14 the physics changed again. I cannot for the life of me figure out tuning anymore. I have read here that some persons believe there have been no physics changes since 1.09 and use raw data to prove it. All I know is that some of my cars that were great post 1.09 are today, garbage.
