*I see you still have the GT6 background music playing. They continue to play even if you have the volume turned right down. If you don't listen to the songs, disable them in gallery, playlists - it'll save just a little CPU time and the track names won't keep popping up on screen.

I've just been lazy Paul, but that wee nudge should prompt me to get it done.. one of these days:D

The second non-user-created-track race will be at Mt. Panorama. Jammy said he'll be joining for that and hopefully @FPV MIC too. I guess he'll be quick round there as Bathurst is in his back garden.

Fast friends on fast lawnmowers, takes no time at all:bowdown:
This one I expect?

I hope Ghostrider have a setup for me . Ghostrider refresh very fast, but you can do it with the left Hand .... i hope I can drive in this 8 weeks....

First off well done Joe on the amount of work and preparation made
ahead of this championship, it's nice seeing people are excited about it.

Very well thought out, setup and planned my friend.
Agreed.

Hi GhostRider, I'm looking forward to sharing the track with you.

This is a great opportunity for me to say thank you for this tune.
I tuned the Streamliner exactly according to your numbers two months ago (but I kept the engine
stock). It's a very nice tune and it meant I could drive the Streamliner flat out for the first time.

It's damn near impossible to drive it with the dealership default set-up (it constantly spins out)
but it works really well with your tune.

But even with your tune it's still a struggle at places with tight turns like the Loews hairpin at Monaco
for instance, but the car comes to life at tracks like Nordschleife, Spa, Le Mans and others.
I went under seven minutes at Nordschleife on only my second lap with lots of time to find still.

It's the oldest car in GT6 by far and since I enjoy the music from that era (late nineteen-thirties) very much it's cool to be able to drive a contemporary race car without any issues and instead just enjoying the experience.
Watching the Streamliner in the replays in black and white without a HUD feels like watching the real thing. Almost anyway. ;)

So to get you in the mood..
That's some nice editing at around 2:45, Joe.

Track change update:

Thruxton: out
Mach 1: in

On retesting the Mustang at Thruxton I found it was too difficult to be consistent. So I built a new track which I've updated in post #1.

Mach 1:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/resources/mach-1.5146/

We have some technical tracks already so I went for something easy to drive which should hopefully keep the pack close together for some good races. It's another high speed jaunt through the rolling countryside (in some far off European destination!) and has a top speed of 219mph on the Mach 1 Straight. I've made it as wide as the TPE allows - 49.2ft if I remember right - to hopefully encourage overtaking. As the second race of each meet is reverse grid based on previous results, there should be some close battles throughout.

Just 2 weeks to go until lights out.. can @buybon355 retain his Classic Car Championship title?

And it's a safe jump too with no issues on landing. When in Arcade Mode the jump is much further. But it's much more stable online.

Looks awesome Joe. Haven't tried it yet but looks a much better fit than Thruxton. No kerbs makes it feel like a blast down a B-road.

As Tom says, you gotta let these cars loose and hopefully this track does that.

UPDATE (added to spiel on post #1 as I forgot)

Aero Kits are allowed
Slipstream: Real

There's plenty good slipstream to be had on your Wholeflats Aerodrome Colin and on the 219mph Mach 1 Straight with the setting at Real.

The realer the better!
Education - could the system be did Gooder?

Anyone up for an exhibition race to start things off this Saturday (at the normal time)? (I'm getting impatient) AAR Cuda at Mosport perhaps, since it is Canada Day weekend...?

I'd be up for that with a second race at Colin's Wholeflats Aerodrome track in the Charger. Both races reverse grid and if possible to kick off at 11pm UK.

I was trying to suggest something we weren't using in the series but it's up to you if you want to try that also. Should be good.

The first race of the Muscle Madness series kicks off at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, the same weekend as the F1 Silverstone meet.

So to get you in the mood..

Good vid JK. Never heard that funky country song before. Inspired by Smokey and the Bandit?

FYI - I sent out about 15 invites 5/6 days ago.

Thanks Tom:tup: It's just so difficult to get good people interested.

If a few will be about on Saturday night at 10:30-11ish UK - (6:30-7am here in Japan) - then I don't mind to get up early for a Mosport/Aerodrome run out? Otherwise I'll just have a lie in.....

Also would love to see @mgo, @FPV MIC, @Bjoern, @Bowtie-muscle, @fadmad, fottofinnish and friends and club members on Saturday night;)

Championship kicks off for real on the 9th, the Silverstone F1 weekend. (Edit: start date pushed back 1 week)

I'll try and make it if there's interest. What cars are you thinking of using? Charger? Because it'll take me hours of work to set them up. :sly: Ok no, but I need to buy them to be ready.

However if there's only just a few of us you might as well carry on snoring.

Actually it'd be good to perhaps try the custom tracks you are using, because some can be glitchy when raced upon which isn't always apparent when just time trialing.

Charger 440 R/T for Colin's track and bbb said the AAR Cuda for Mosport.

Have had a dozen or so races on Mach 1 and Colin's in open lobby. ALL other cars found it tricky to get the power down on Colin's track. There is a knack to driving Wholeflats Aerodrome, just gotta watch that throttle..

Just ran the Trans Am at Silverstone for some good races with Al - @Autope10 - and it was great fun. He's a good, decent driver and clean. Still got a big smile on my face..

Ah, splendid. Good idea.

Wished I'd have know, I was just sitting here looking at GTP.

It's probably the huge amount of torque. Allowing the use of traction control, if only for this one car, might help everyone out.
Edit: I've just tried the Charger & Wholeflats combo and it wasn't really too bad I thought. And that was with untuned suspension!

I don't have a major problem getting the power down either to be fair. Still not getting the times Joe is getting but I can string a run together. Must be all the comfort running coming into play.

I find the nova at jockes track really tricky.
