Alright GTP I am seeing TONS of new members here and it is sort of weird. I know most of you are used to it but I am not. I remember the OLD group of us. Just about 10-15 regulars who were constantly on GTP. It was before members started posting 700+ times a day. Do you remember who you are? I do. I remember us all as:

ZeroCool85, Tazz575, Josh, Ghostrider, Magic069, LoudMusic, StealthViper, ViperManiac, Pako, BrianP, and more people that I don't feel like typing. :)

Those days were the best and I miss them dearly. I liked GTP when it was small and everybody knew eachother the best. All I do now at GTP is surf the forums just looking for topics. GTP will never be the same. All it will do is get bigger. I guess it is for the best. :(
 
I know what you mean, I would prollys say I liked it better then too. There seems to be a LOT more flaming and arguements now. Although I do like some of the newer members (PunkRock, GCStyle, WT etc), GTP won't ever be as good as it was then.

i must say that i feel much more appreciated here than at any other board i've ever been! the whole spirit around here is just incredible..

sure, there have been a lot of things going on in the past weeks, but i'm sure everything will get back to normal soon...

besides, this place will grow bigger and bigger, IMO... the GT fans are much more informed here, if you ask me!
 
I'm sorry, i probably shouldnt be posting in here b/c i'm a newbie. But i have to agree. This place is awesome. Not only is it about GT, buts a place to hangout..no worrys about people just swearing there heads off. I come here everyday, and still i never get bored of this site. Well, theres my opinion.

So now what's this? Your saying that GTP is different? Your saying that it's evolving? Everything changes and if you feel that the change is for the worst, what can you do to make it better?

Someone had a signature (forgive me for not remembering), but it said, "If your not part of the solution then your part of the problem." I think this is so true....

Sometimes I think back to those days also. It was different back then, but as the internet does its thing this is gonna happen.

Especialy since Jordan made such a great web site thats makes us keep coming back to. But if we didn't get any new members here this site would have probably died by now.

So, as Pako says "Well rock on and do some racin'!!!" and lets all have some fun here. :)

Hey man, I know what you mean. It sure has changed since the old days but you knew that GTP wasnt going to stay like that forever. GTP is still kick ass like it was back in the old days just alittle different. :)
 
I am not saying that there is anything wrong with the NEW GTP I am just saying that I miss it. :( Oh well, I gotta cheer up and get used to it the way it is now. :)

Things change. The more they change, the more they stay the same. And if things don't change, they'll stop as they am.

I know what you're saying, I too have my favourite members to interact with, but this place is dynamic, and you make new friends all the time, and that's what's so cool about it. Sure, there are new members who join who are absolute tools, but you just ignore them and get on with it.

GTP rocks! :thumbsup:
 
Well, GTP just got really popular and the old skool group is still around and interacting so I'm not too bothered, I think a lot of the newcomers are really cool too so no harm.

;)
 
still a few of the oldies floating around :p i personally hang out more in the challenge section , if any of you guys fancy a good ass kickin as a reminder you know where i am 😈 :D laters
 
Things certainly have changed in the past few months. There's definately been a large increase in members when GT.Com (kenji's) went down for a few weeks. Unfortuantely there's been very few newbies that are willing to take part in the race series. Which is probably down to the fact that myself and Mr. P are gone kick their a$$es anyway! ;)

Good to see a few familar faces on the boards from time to time.
 
Humm, I wonder if you consider me "old school" although I just looked and didn't type untill september...

It was a lot less umm... busy then.
 
Your guess is as good as mine. I haven't talked to him in a few weeks. I'm supposed to see him next month, but since I haven't heard from him, I don't know!
 
I must admit for various reasons I haven't been as active as before - I tend to drift in and out a bit.

The forum does seem to have lost a bit of the 'intimacy' it had before but it is still possible to have discussions with favourite members, and as f04h said, it is still a remarkably civil forum.

I guess that's why I still come back after, what, 6, 7 months.
 
I second that. It might be the fact that this is a very specialized forum, or that the moderators tend to crack the whip, but GTPlanet has stayed fairly civil over the past few months - even through the big growth spurts.

Im with Talentless. Im old school when it was on the MSN communities. It was a small bunch and must say, Ive learned a lot of information from the old school crew. :D
Its nice to have a little seniority (literally) here. :)

awh, the good old days, GTP, population 15-25 max.

Not that the new population is bad, I just can't keep up with the business this place runs at now.

Tatinee, I miss you! I have tried talking to you but get no answer. I shouldtry calling, I know.

Well, keep growing GTP, Magic will keep stoping by to see whats up.
