Got this story in my email, phew never heard of this kinda stuff happening for real? :eek:

DELIBERATELY RUN DOWN

Court hears how driver mowed down pedestrians 'for fun'

A man in Plymouth is currently standing trial for murder using his car. It's alleged that Thomas Kenny deliberately mowed down two pedestrians whilst he was under the influence of drugs. He told a friend it was 'fun' and that he'd do it again, a jury has heard.

The prosecution's case states that Kenny was driving with two friends in his car and he saw two men walking along the pavement. Passenger Edward Reilly has told the court that Kelly turned the car around, engaged second gear and accelerated towards them. "He swerved, pulled the steering wheel over, mounted the kerb and hit the blokes. One of them hit the bonnet and the windscreen, shattering it inwards, and the other ricocheted off on the passenger side."

One man died, the other suffered serious injuries. The case continues.

I don't think this man played GTA3 or GTA:VC and all the sudden thought to himself, "I might do that someday...It looks fun!"
 
There've been reports about somebody in Cleveland occasionally running people down over the last few weeks. Last I heard, they hadn't caught him.
 
Please note he was high when he told his friend about doing it again. The bloke probably kept a pot plant in the trunk.

i can tell you that ive been stoned while driving and it hasnt given me urges to run people down.

people can say what they want about drugs but it all comes back to the person using them.

And the drug being used...

Crystal-meth heads and crack heads are one thing. Oh, and those damned alcoholics.

Potheads are quite possibly one of society's redeeming characteristics.

Drugs may distort reality, but that's not necessarily bad.

Don't assume reality is just fine the way it is (<--not directed anyone in particular)

The story doesn't even mention what drug. The word, "drug", is a trigger for people who don't think.

The few times that I've driven with the reefer in my system, it didn't affect my driving very much. If anything it made me paranoid, thus I was a lot more careful about what I did. It's definately safer to drive sober. But driving stoned is safer than driving drunk.

hay theres nothing rong with being stoned and driving hell im stoned now :D :D :D
