WHY THE HELL IS THIS A STANDARD CAR AND NOT A PREMIUM!?!?!?!?

After reading some thread here regarding the Awesome AMUSE S2000 GT1 Turbo and the NSX Type R, I thought those 2 cars are freaking awesome to drive on the nurburbring until I bought the M3 Race car in the online dealership.

Perfect balance in speed and handling. I think the suspension is tuned just for the ring. With mistakes, I still get 7 minutes lap time. Once I get some practice, I am sure I can get a clean lap under 7 minutes.

The car is awesome! Please buy it now! PD please turn it into a premium.
 
i was thinking about buying that car, i might have to try it out tonight when i get home if i still have enough credits. im really hoping to find that alfa romeo v6 race car too.
 
Yes i love the BMW M3 GTR Race car, used to love it in GT4 and love it even more in GT5! This car sticks like glue with racing hard tires
 
You gotta check the CLK Touring Car.. easily under 7 minutes. :) And just awesome to drive.
 
I bought this for the DTM race's and I was quite impressed by it. Im not too bothered about making it a premium as it looks good for a standard imo and I don't use the cockpit view.
 
Loved it in GT4, have yet to acquire it in GT5 but by the sounds of things it is still great.
Nürburgring was where I always took it too 👍
 
TBF, most race cars handle awesome, a love my Abt Audi TT-R DTM but I'm sure the Astra Touring Car I coulda bought for the same money handles just as awesome!

The DTMs all handle fantastically. I have fond memories of the Calibra Touring car from GT2.
 
I like my Lexus IS-F Racing Concept. She handles just so great and I can drive so consistent lap times with her, it's fabulous and the best she is premium - so in my opinion the best car for the 4h Nürburgring endurance race.
But I think most touring cars will have a good handling, it's just typical for these kind of beauties.
 
I totaly agree, the M3 GTR Race Car is one awesome ride. my laps times at nuburgring have been coming down on all of my cars since i started driving this one.

Both Audi's seriously are the some of the easiest cars to drive and push to the limit. If you exceed the limit they are so easy to recover from too.

I collected all the DTM cars. The Lexus is another fantastic example. All stock too!
 
My 677HP M3 GTR race car is awesome. On the Nurburgring, even with a full 360 degree spin and some off-roading, I still managed a 6:46. :drool:
 
i got the m3 gtr today, but havent had a chance to take it for a ride.

I havnt tired out the others yet but these touring cars seem to be suprsingly good :)
 
DTM cars aren't touring cars in the usual manner.. To quote wikipedia: "Instead of the road car bodies, unrelated purpose-built chassis are used, which are closer to prototype racing. Many drivers have in fact described the handling of the cars as closer to single seater racing cars than road cars." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Tourenwagen_Masters

If you look at the DTM driver list you'll see that an open wheeler background (be if F1 or lower classes) is pretty much a given.
 
Yes, the M3 GTR is amazing. It's a beautiful car to drive, and It's pretty well modelled for a standard car too.
 
Going buying one there now in a few minutes once Bob has enough money made for me... can't wait to get it!!! I want 2 or 3 of them though so I can have one DTM spec one, one modded one and one setup for a drift car :D

The GTR race car and the LMR are the only two I have to get now to have a full stable of Munichs finest :)
 
The DTM cars really drive very well. I have an Astra Touring car and will buy a M3 Race car soonish. These cars are very well in handling.

I bought the BMW M3 Race Car before I bought one of the Audi race car, the one with the red bull and its blue. I absolutely love the Audi, it handled pretty good and you are right about the recovery time it takes, if you push it too far.

Going back to the M3, I also is in love with this car, I dont mind grinding the ring with it, the track and the car is just pure fun.

Fully tuned, but still Normally Aspirated, it just beat every time I had on Autumn Ring Reverse (yeah, it's a tight track). Including the Peugot 908 and the FGT -- using a HKS Racing Controller. Turbo charged it loses several seconds. (I need to take the turbos off my various imaginary rides and enjoy them more.)
 
All the DTM cars are just fantastic, including the ISF Racing concept.
 
Agreed, the M3 GTR Race Car is a truly awesome. I sometimes just take it for spins on the Nurburgring for fun, just because it is so beautiful to drive.
 
I just bought one yesterday from the Online Dealership. I was choosing between this and the Opel something. Its a blast to drive on the Nurburgring
 
I got mine a while back too and I LOVE it. It's the quintessential BMW; it's balanced, suspension is just right, and it handles great. Sure it's not the fastest car out there but it's truly special to drive.
