I got it on the 3rd try, if you drive smoothly dont think about speed just clean lines and work off that you pass it sooner than you think.

Firstly, S8 isn't that hard. You just need to select Manual Gears, and keep the car in 3rd/4th gear. This quells the wheelspin that causes all the problems.

Secondly, there's an extensive Search facility here, which will unlock the vast database of information that is

The third/fourth gear method is a ripper - the other key is to keep the lap clean (i.e. don't hit anything). A fairly conservative lap will actually get under the time here - I ran a silver time here with a lap that I thought I took pretty easily.

Yup, exactly...I've also found that taking a later apex and a wider line is helpful on many corners...give it a shot!

Well, first of all, telling someone who is ripping their hair out over a test that it is easy, just doesnt seem like common decency!

But anyways. I know how frustrating this can be, I had to do the Evo Rally Car Time Trial around 15 times...

I did this test with an auto but I have only acheived bronze. you could use the R2 and L2 buttons to stay in a gear above 1st or even 2nd. But I didnt, I just feathered the throttle and pumped it as I wanted to accelerate again. This test may seem impossible, but there is no magic secret that we can tell you except to just keep racing your ghost.

It's a funny thing - I had the worst time completing any of the S tests for a long time. Then, once I had beaten the EVO time trial (and consequently learned not to try too hard) I breezed right through the tests. Granted, all I have is bronze, but still...

You must reach a sort of zen enlightenment to win the hard tests in GT. Relax, and simply be....not thinking, but not dreaming.

that is so true, I was doing the test, and I almost had it, i was off by 1.4 seconds, then the harder i tried, the worse i got and the more aggrivated i became, im very close though

not that hard. best trick is to use manual transmission and stay in 3'ed the whole race. kinda easy if ya ask me.

My only suggestion is yes, manual trans all the way, but more importantly - Practice With The Ghost! Practice over and over again, follow his lines, study his braking and throttle techniques. Hang in there, you'll get it!

Yup, that's a toughy, I did it with a wheel and auto trans. Just use the racing line, don't hit walls, keep your speed up. The hardest one for me was S2. I must have tried it hundreds of times, not kidding. After that experience I usually passed them after 2-6 tries. Good luck.

...we had some music posted on MP3.com, not anymore, long story short, it was recorded bad, so we took it down.

And I have no idea why we call him paqo......
