Because if you do a paper route in the same time the other guy is doing that Vettel challenge you'll end up with left over cash and you didnt have to do that 🤬 up challenge.

Just do like me, act like it is not in the game. I LOVE this game! But, X2010 does not exist. I think they went over board. I'm with you, "omg why?"

Also, not gonna buy a steering wheel for a game. I would rather put a new steering wheel in my race car.

Idk I'm considering just doing the online thing until i get to level 40 with 20 million and just buying it. It's the 🤬 nurburg and suzuka. I just don't see how people can tackle the corners going so fast.. -____-

Or just bspec, level 35 only takes a couple weeks.

Right on, sounds great lol. I may never get to the Challenge as I've lost interest in GT5 for now at level 24 or so. This challenge in no way provides any motivation to get to it.

Honestly with the new lower bronze time its pretty easy now - i got bronzes at Monza and Nurb with the old time limit, but i was hopelessley off the pace at Suzuka until we got an extra 8 seconds to play with.

DS3 with the Steering set to7.

You know i had always toyed with the thought to putting steering to seven... that might help. Is that what you guys did? 💡

Imagine it before they made the bronze times easier...

They did add on time which makes it more bearable. I have both but actually prefer a DS3. Go into driving options before the race starts and set the controller sensativity to 7. It will turn a lot faster and take a lot of lag out of the stick. Really helped me but takes a lot of time to get used to. The car is totally ridiculous btw and I never use it unless bob is grinding

I did - i dunno if it just the way i hold the pad, but i always seem to move the L analogue in an upwards rather than sideways motion and setting it to 7 meant smaller movements and less cocking up with my cackhanded thumbs

10-4, the only reason i did the challenge was to get a spare incase Bob killed my other one.

I did the challenge, hated it, hated it even more when I got Gold, and was super close to abandoning GT5 because this has got to be one of the most retarded things I have ever done in my whole life.

Even more retarded than when I kept watching a patch of grass in Final Fantasy 11 for 23 hours in a row because that was the spot a certain Boss was supposed to spawn for my Leaping Boots. Of course some Japaneese nutcracker who was already waiting there for 2 days got the kill...
Gawd I hate grass !!!

But I hate Vettel's challenge even more. Because it's sooo arcade, and has nothing to do with a 'real driving simulator'.

Seriously: pay some dude 50 bucks. It's worth it.

Reminds me of opening the gates of AQ when I used to play WoW. What an absurd waste of my life that was haha.

Yeah if i won it, i don't think i would use it at all. The only reason i want it is to grind because I know Polyphagy Digital will patch the online thing soon and i really want those 20 million credit cars.

IMHO the car exists in the game just to show how rediculous its possible to get. This car is why there are restrictions in racing.

Do you have an x1 from BSpec? Or one you can borrow? I'm doing hot laps around the tracks in practice mode in a borrowed one to bring my times down. Seems easier that way so I don't have to restart if I go off track or hit a wall. I can also turn around and keep re-racing one section if I find a specific problem area. I know it sounds like a lot of work but I'm thinking it will definitely pay off.

It doesn't feel too much different. The downforce seems like it might be higher in the challenge but the difference seems negligible. It will still help getting used to the car. My times have gotten much better since I started doing it, and it is definitely less stressful than the challenge lol.

I bronzed all 3 with a bit of work before they upped the times. However i REALLY think that the gold times should be upped aswell. I mean, i've worked like 3 months straight on this game to get to where i am, and in a few days time when ive completed everything else, i wont be able to get the Platinum Trophy because the friggin gold for vettel is so ridiculous.

Indeed, It's much to fast to be a GT car, Arcade yes, but not GT.
