Everybody now and then boasts that they have completed X % of the game, and can drift around Laguna backwards or do this and this time. My proposal is the following.

Take a Class A,B or C car- stock - and tackle any track. With a stock car , times will tell the true story of who is tops. And dont reckon you can post any old time. Those who take up the challenge know what a realistic time is :2cents:

This is a good idea. But the stock car thing is not. What's the point. We should pick a really good car... hell, a few. All participants can pick a car and everybody else has to do the same thing in the same car and post the times.

How about for starters we do my favorite this month: 305HP GT40 on Grindelwald.

Mods include:
everthing but NA tunes, including racing mod.

We'll let this sit up here for a couple days and see who goes for it. After that someone else can choose car and track. Maybe Burnout should pick next.

Hehe. i reckon your idea is a good 1. soon as i can get my ps1 back i'll post a time. Burnout sounds a bit touchy....

Okay so anyway my best time so far with those mods on the GT40 on Grindelwald is around 1:18.xxx. Will post official time tomorrow. Will you?

The mods are:
Racing muffler
Sports brakes
All engine mods except NA Tune
Racing transmission
Tripple plate clutch
Racing flywheel
Full customization suspension
super soft tires
racing mod

Drive on the grass, hit the wall... who cares?!

So let's see some times!

After this it'll be Burnout's turn.

pulled a 1:24 ish time, but that included at 180 in the twists just before the hairpin.

same specs as mile file but i use mediums and an auto set up.. At a push i reckon a 1:20 is manageable for me.

I think the only GT40 mods you can make to the car is the NA tuning. Tires are all selected for you, just pick what you like.

Here goes.

1:16:707 in 4 laps on Super Slicks with no changes to the suspension settings.

I also did the Grand Valley Speedway Endurance without changing tires once as well. I used the Mitsubishi 3000GT LM Edition. Creamed the AI. ;)

I'm slackin'. Still haven't done the race, lately. I've been getting to know my new Cerbera LM. Tonight.

But 1:16 on Grindelwald in a 305 HP GT40 is quite good.

Grindelward sucks.

Because of two particuliar corners. The friggin sharp corner about 1-5 through the race and that majorly friggin' annoying U-Turn towards the end. :grumpy:

If your talking about the third left that goes up a bumpy hill, I hated that one too for the longest time. I still fish-tail a little most times I go through it. For me, the trick is to come in from the right and try to straighten it out as much as possible. Then I let off the gass completely until I'm straightened out, Then you can hit it and actually go straight.

And that hairpin rocks. I love it. It's the perfect size for a GT40 tuned as this particular race mandates. You can take it sooo fast. When I watch the replay I can't believe how fast it looks.

I guess I don't hate any of the tracks... except Rome Circuit.

Somebody's got to have enough time on thier hands to beat 1:16:707 at Grindelwald.
