Apparently yet another rich person who thinks that just because he has money he can drive, so he buys one of the rarest cars in the world and somehow crashes it.. If that's the case it's another mystery in solving how they even get their license..

Hong Kong and supercars don't mix, yet the place is full of them

Eh, it's more the richer parts of Asia as a whole…no, scratch that, it's the drivers. Mainland Chinese drivers are crap in general, and when you add big power and other supercar bits to the equation, it's not entirely surprising that so many beautiful cars meet their deaths in these regions. :(

Speaking of accidents, I heard about quite the accident in Singapore two weeks back, a Ferrari 599 GTO being driven by…you guessed it, a Mainland Chinese person, crashes into a taxi at a-bloody-high-mph…

We have the money for these things…just lacking the logic to use them appropriately, it seems.

Sorry for the off topic, by the way. Whoops.

Yeah most of the accidents in these countries are caused by mainland Chinese drivers who haven't been driving for long and haven't got a clue how to deal with that kind of horse power on twisty tight streets, plus its on the other side of the road.

In China road safety is non existent and also being that their roads are wide and straight is doesn't help.

I love how people make these kinds of comments as if they are some kind of amazing driver them self and would never crash, but hey maybe you are, I'm just generalizing as these kinds of comments all always plasterd all over supercar crash videos on youtube.

I'm sure if you had the money that guy did you would have bought a supercar or two yourself regardless of your driving tallents. I know I would for sure.

I'd rather see a thousand crashed supercars that at least got used than see a thousand pristine supercars that see about 100 miles yearly if they ever get used at all.

Just for the record, I never said I was (trust me, as of right now you'd rather die than drive a car with me behind the wheel), what I was saying is that money doesn't mean driving skills and that rich people sometimes think that or are so ignorant they'll just say "I'll buy a new tomorrow"..

Mainland Chinese or not, give someone with a hot head who has little to no experience of driving these machines and it's probably going to end in tears. The minibus I was coming home on about an hour ago was very close to getting taken out by a complete nitwit in an Evo VII who was weaving madly through traffic and he was certainly a Hong Kong driver.

The 599 GTO crash in Singapore was a tragic loss of life. Just awful, really. There should be massive repercussions for people that drive so irresponsibly in built up areas. I know it sounds terrible, but by losing his life it as if the driver almost got off lightly.

I like how they mention that since it's carbon fiber, it's going to cost a lot of money to fix it.

If the guy paid 7 figures for the car, I don't think repairing it is gonna be an issue.

But it's up to Aston Martin to determine if the chassis is still structurally sound.

Haha no way, especially the One-77. Way too special of a car to risk getting wrecked. If I had one it definitely wouldn't be my daily driver. It'd still get driven, but not on busy roads.

If you had that kind of money you would have more than one car.
