If PD is doing loads of 'classic' and 'old time' stuff (see 1800's benz's and 60's Triumph's) then not having one of the miltiple Le Mans wining "blower" Bentleys is an enormous oversight.
There are definitely cars that where tested by PD for inclusion in GT4 that are 'missing' from the Asian car lists though. As they definitely tested a Ford Racing Puma for it's inclusion (I have personally spoken to the owner of the car), and that is also missing from the availability list.

It's a shame they didn't put in the continental and other cars in that category. Just like I think they should have put in a H1 and H2 Hummer as well for the truck events. 💡 Should have sacrificed a couple of skylines and RX-7's to put in these cars if disc space was the issue.

Of course even if they had 500hp they weigh as much as the moon which means they would still be no faster than an average Gti at most. Plus they are ugly as sin and above all they are 4WDs, not racing cars. The day when a Gran Turismo game includes a Hummer I will stop buying GT. There, my rant is over.

I agree, if they were in, I'd boycott the game out of protest.

One Bentley you ask? It's a pretty sexy one. The EXP GT is a naughty little girl, isn't she? Spanked some serious ass at Le Mans back in 2003. Mean and lean she is.

But you know, I think the one talking about the "Blower Bentleys" that won Le Mans in the past is right. As I normally said, in the first ten years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Bentley won it five times. I don't think we want to push "historically-significant cars" to any extremes, but it would be interesting to see more of them. That's why we all can hope they'll be in a future GT.

By the way, only one Bentley, I'm afraid. However, I hear the Bentley Arnage Red Label (correct name?) is pretty fast and capable...

The old hummers or what the military still uses look cool. New hummers are like the new beetles, they lost all the orignal styling and everything people loved about them. I love old beetles, new beetles anger me somthing awful and I have to try and not run them off the road.

As far as bentlys go, or any other super car for that matter. I never really got into driving them. They are not fun to me. Which is why I have been playing the GT series since the first won and never achieved 100% in any of them.

The EXP GT is hardly what bentley is all about though. If you were going to have one car to represent the marque, i certainly wouldn't have chosen that thing.

Now, the continental T, with its near 7L v8 and two turbos. That's a real bentley! Absurd luxury, that's what a real bentley is all about.

Pity the only triumph is the spitfire too... a stag or tr7 v8 would've been more welcome. :/

Lotus cortina mk1, or ford escort mk1/2 are also sorely missed. As is my beloved 205 gti...

GT4 was meant to be about important cars, an insight into the development of the automotive world... I think they kinda forgot that when they were working on things like the taurus SHO and exa canopy (oooh, classics...).

Oh, and what the hell is with the 240 GLT? I saw a video of it and it has more dive than a russian submarine. Seems that PD just took the stereotypical view of old volvo's instead of actually driving one. Oh, and where's my P1800?! Now that's a classic (which ford ripped off to make the mustang).

As much as I like the Le Mans - style Bentley I would rather have had a Continental GT or a Blower Bentley. It would be really cool to emulate the days of Tim Birkin and nut around the unchicaned le Sarthe.

Yep. I think the old Hummers are pretty cool but the H2s 👎 New Beetles are just Golfs in a different body & overpriced. In the same vain I don't like the new Mini, it might be better than the old one in many areas but come on the Mini is no longer mini.

At least the new mini is a great steer. It's a much better package than the beetle, which is all show and no go. I think the interior is a lot funkier too. Only real let down is that brazillian engine. Bit crap that they gave the cooper s only 5 gears in GT4.
