I particularly liked this quote: "but luckily she bounced into powerlines", probably the only time you'll see the words 'luckily' and 'into powerlines' in the same sentence!

I still dont get that. If she bounced UP into the lines, they would have been more trouble then good :TZZZZZ:, as ground doesnt let one bounce much.

I think they mean she landed on em 👍

I'ts always nive when you can wear a shirt that says- "I was saved by powerlines!"

Fly here and work your charms on her :sly: She may be a ManU fan, and then you can discuss the merits of a cardboard cut out of Neville Vs Neville in defence.

And then you can drive my hott car 👍

To the airport.

hmmm. Peggy Hill could survive a fall like that without the powelines...

They made it sound as if she literally just fell 2 miles, and smacked into the ground full speed. She probably wasn't even going very fast if all she did was break her ass bone.

I don't recall the stats exactly, and I'm buggered if I'm going to search for them, but...

The record height for surviving a fall from is 36,000 feet. A (Czech, I think) air stewardess was sucked out of her commercial jet, after it underwent explosive decompression, followed by explosive explosion. She fell, to ground, and lived with only relatively minor injuries.

that is ridiculous!! did she land on water? i dont see how that is possible???

No. She hit the deck.

Thinking about it, it's only really the first 700 feet that matter. By the time you've fallen 700 feet - in 6 seconds, accelerating at 32 feet per second per second - you're at about terminal velocity of 140mph. Naturally she wouldn't be streamlining herself and diving towards the Earth, so 140mph is a good rule of thumb figure.

Landing on Water would probably make it worse. There is a lot of surface tension on the surface of water. She probably landed on a soft spot of land.
