This isn't a league but it is a bunch of like minded racers getting together to race. One make. 15 minute races. BOP on. Damage on. Tire wear on. Fuel consumption on. Tuning off. These races are about driving, not tuning. Community on PSN is Gran Turismo Sport - One Make Racing or you can just send me a friend request (rprphoto). We race on Sunday nights (Yes, I know there are quite a few leagues that race that night) at 5pm pacific/8pm eastern. Will also open a room, if requested, in the AM hours during the week.

Would you guys consider making the move to joining SNAIL? We do the same thing but start an hour later and use three combos on the night, each with 2 10-12 minute races. Lately we have been reduced from 4 to 3 divisions to create fuller rooms and at one time we had as many as 8 divisions. Check out the link in my sig if you're interested

Im, actually already a member :) first races tonight, I'm doing both, just looking folks who might want more.

Someone really should look into opening a league or just a get together for this type of racing on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. There are enough of us on GTS who can only race during the week but enjoy one make racing.

Unfortunately, I work in the evening so I'm constantly looking for races in the morning.

I know I'm available some mornings but I don't think I could get anyone else I know to join at that time.

Don’t know if it works for you guys but the A to Z races we run on Sundays are pretty much exactly this, 1-3pm Eastern, 5 races, 2 each on 2 different tracks always capped off by a 2 lap race at Nurb. We literally go through the alphabet and use every car that costs less than a million credits, one make and no tuning. It’s always done in public lobbies but it’s mostly the same regulars every week. They’ve been running this long enough that they got through every single European car in GT6 and partway through the American ones before GTS came out. It’s just never been run through GTP even though pretty much everyone who races is a GTP member

I'd be interested if tuning was allowed.

I' sorry. That is rude of me.. may I ask..what is wrong with tuning? I ask because I find that most of these road cars are terrible to drive without a tune.

For me nothing is wrong with tuning except GTS is not built around it like previous titles. So instead spending countless hours working on a tune for each and every car like I did on GT6. It's so nice now not having to focus on tuning and all my time goes to racing instead.
IMO the cars don't handle bad at all. The gears and suspension are all set to factory specs. You can only push them so far just like in real life. So as long as GTS remains the current title I won't and don't want to get involved into tuning this time around.
But that's just me.

Understood. I'm just getting back to GT with GT Sport so tuning doesn't bother me too much. I'm also one of those drivers that does not like to join lobbies where there is constant switching between car classes and tracks for short races. I can't develop any consistency by doing that.

I' love to host a one make using the Porsche 911 GT3 RS but there seems to be such a dislike for tuning that I feel like there won' be any interest. Is anybody interested? I could provide the tune.. Well, at least a base for one. Drivers would be free to tweak there set ups.

Now if it's just a one make race using the same car week after week that wouldn't be bad. Working on a tune for just one car should take up to much time and I would do that.

I just hate tuning in any game, I don’t understand it at all, and I much prefer adapting my driving style around the car to adapting the car to my driving style. I also don’t like spending time doing stuff like that, but I also don’t practice at all for anything, the more time I spend at anything racing-related the worse I get at it. I’m only at my full potential if qualifying or a few laps before the race starts are my first experience with the car and track combo.

I’m also the type who hates spending more time cooking food than it takes to eat it haha

It’s also nice to know it’s a level playing field. I wish GTS was like PCARS and there were more options for forcing everyone to use the same settings, like forcing realistic assists for that particular car.

Totally understandable. I have the opposite experience. I need extra practice. Mostly because I want to be sure I'm not a moving hazard.
