A lot of good movies exist, and I am sure we have at some point encountered a one and done movie that we enjoyed that didn't receive another movie for one reason or another. With that said, what are some movies you liked that never got a sequel or even a prequel that you feel deserve one?

Couldn’t believe there wasn’t a prequel. Last good Will Smith movie I’d seen. Such a cool take on the Alien Nation and V vibes of those stories. The groundwork was laid, but nothing…

Alita: Battle Angel (2019).

John Carter (2012).

Disney's Dinosaur (2000).

I love this movie. The effort that was put into it visually is truly amazing, the CGI still holds up well today, and the composition is also noteworthy. It sadly was not very well received though, and the studio behind it was shut down, and we never got a sequel to it. I think it still has a lot of potential, even if the first movie never fully tapped into it, and if Disney would give it another chance and find a new studio to do it, it could be interesting.

I'm thinking that a Crimson Tide sequel with Denzel Washington now as senior captain (because the Russians are at it again), and facing the choices of his former CO, captain Ramsey (RIP, Gene Hackman).

It has been mentioned, but Alita: Battle Angel deserves a continuation.

Maybe F1 could have a sequel, following Joshua "Noah" Pearce into the new regulations' era and facing new challenges and rivals.
