I'll go along with that, its a damn nice car even though it was made in 97.

TVR Speed 12 Cerbera or original both are great. there was 5 Cerbera speed 12's made but only one was ever sold so I don't think that counts in this thread, but the original speed 12 road version was never sold and only one of thoes was made.

I didn't see the R, I'm guessing thats the race car version of it. I have no idea about that car.

The Lotus Elise GT1 is a VERY nice machine, I'll admit. I think some of the coolest supercars and exotics came from 1995-2000. They are among most of my favorites. The Lotus Elise GT1, and I didn't know this, kind of has the engine of the Espirit. Either the Espirit or the GT1 variant. Other than that, you can't go wrong with British engineering, can you? I mean, you got a car that may not outrun a Camaro of its time (the Mini Cooper), but can still prove to be a great contender in road racing and rally. Then you got the lovely Aston Martins and Jaguars. And of course, you got a powerful British superexotic with a German heart (the McLaren F1).

And that brings me to the McLaren F1 GTR. I remember this machine from the first "Need for Speed: High Stakes." A thing about the McLaren F1, you sit in the center, there's only one seat (but you can add two more), I think the gearshift is F1-style, and just to race a GTR variant of it and FOR THE ROAD, you got nothing to lose... except your sanity, but that's about it. The F1 GTR is a car you may never get to drive in a lifetime, but if you're lucky, savor the moment. You are in an F1 car that is embodied into a British supercar in the royal honor of the great Bruce McLaren. Any more one-offs you're into?

Ah, this strange thing:
P_gtp_audir8coupe_example.jpg

There was no end of trouble with it, and Audi abandoned the project when the rules for 2000 favoured open top prototypes.

The only McLaren F1 GTR road car was a single Long-Tail built for homologation purposes.

The Audi R8C was built one year after whole GT1 class debacle with homologation cars, so an R8C road car was never needed.

The R8C can still be a great contender, even if Le Mans 1999 daresaid no. The car is amazing to me. The Audi R8 really left it in the dust. But if you ask me, it can still make a nice GTS contender. All Audi would have to do is re-engineer the car and take it to stomp at Petit Le Mans this year, or any of the big endurances next year (except Daytona). And by the way, I apologize for not spelling "Aztec" as "Aztek." My most sincere apologies. Of course, I placed 4th in the Spelling Bee at my elementary school back in 1994. I got screwed, damn it!!!

Dauer 962 Le Mans.

A couple made with a $853 473 US price tag. 544kW power. A road version of the Porsche 962 lemans car only with complete leather interior, cd player, dvd player.

0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds
and
top speed...

402.3km/h or 250 mph

hiya! :D :O

Well, my own name says it! McLaren F1! I also luv the beautiful Saleen S7 too! Oh and by the way, if any of you are interested, check out this book that I have:

Driving Ambition: The Official Inside Story of the McLaren F1
by Doug Nye with ron Dennis and Gordan Murray

This book, although I didnt even read it yet because I am still trying to find a glass case for it. From skimmin the book, I can see that it will cover McLaren F1's building procdure from its EARLIEST concept to the end! I heard it also covers things in the McLaren that you wouldnt find AT ALL on the net! NONE AT ALL! ALL IN THIS BOOK WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING IN THE CAR THAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW AND BE IMPRESSED! But one thing that bothers me is that last week, I met a NASCAR driver at my Town Center and he said that the MCLAREN F1 can actually be CONTROLLED BY A REMOTE! He says it like as if its in ALL the McLaren F1!!! Anyways, be sure to check out this book if you are interested in this Square-Foot sized book with 250+ PAGES with colors!!!!

Hiya, McLaren! :D :O :)

The McLaren F1, is no doubt, one of the most powerful street-legal cars in automobile history. I'm sure the first car you'll want to race in the upcoming Gran Turismo 4 is that McLaren F1 Longtail racer. Earlier today, I came across a website that offered some interesting information on "the death" of the GT1 cars. Just to see some of the GT1 racers race the track warmed my heart as a racing fan. Like I've said, GT and sportscar racing is my favorite type of racing. There are nothing like the cars that race on the track like them. And surely, seeing the McLaren F1 in its heyday was spectacular. The only other McLarens I've seen in action on TV or in a game are the JGTC McLarens with the huge rear wing and under 500hps. I'm sure Japan would like a road car version of that like they got the road car version of the almighty TS020 (Toyota GT-One).

What would make a nice one-off is a Dodge Viper with the two extra lights at the front. The Oreca Viper needed all six of those lights to see in the dark. You got the two headlights, two fog lights, and the two auxillary lights between the two headlights. I know a Viper GTS-R was released, but something like the Oreca racer. In the future, I'll look for a special Viper here in America and possibly come back to this thread with an update as to what would make a nice Viper street car.

hell yeah, there was a television series ages ago about a cop who drove a Viper RT/10 which could morph into an even better supercar.. pics of the damn thing are rare but I found a front view of the morphed Viper.

just found a better picture. this thing is sweet. some info about the TV series::

Viper - Supercharged anti-crime vehicle on the sci-fi police drama VIPER/NBC/1994/SYN/1996-99. Designed by disabled auto wizard Julian Wilkes (Dorian Harewood), the Viper, a modified Dodge Viper sports car roadster, was built for the pursuit and capture of criminals too slippery for ordinary police patrol car chases. The Viper was equipped with computers; armor plating; morphing circuitry that changed the car's color and shape; side mounted firearms that launched rockets, grappling hooks, and netting; and a flying spy camera. To drive this dynamo of a car, Wilkes memory wiped the mind of Mob driver Michael Payton and gave him the alternate personality of Joe Astor (James McCaffrey). A fast-talking scam artist Frankie Waters (Joe Nipote) who worked for the police motor pool provided Wilkes and Astor with inside information. TRIVIA NOTE: Kelsey Grammer, the star of the NBC sitcom FRASIER was arrested for suspected drunk driving on September 21, 1996 after flipping his Dodge Viper in Agoura Hills, California. He was later admitted to the Betty Ford Center for voluntary substance abuse rehabilitation

Also you can see animations of the morph on the multimedia section of http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Set/3130/ViperHub.htm

Is that in the US or UK, cause I'm in the UK and if it's on here, I'll be very happy.

Another cool one-off of the 1980s (I believe it was the time, there was a car called the Porsche 962c. I don't know if that was the actual name of the car, but it was a road car based on the Porsche 962 race cars. They only made a few of them, but the one I seen on "Victory by Design: Porsche" was pretty sweet. Don't expect to bring along three of your boys (or girls), I think it's a two seater, as most other super sports cars are. And the McLaren F1? Only ONE seat, but you can put in two more. Thing is, who'll drive the near $1,000,000 superexotic? Just hope you don't have to fight in the car to drive it!

The latest one-off is the DTM-style Mercedes-Benz CLK. So with DTM has sedans, you probably wouldn't want to count out any chances of other German makes coming up with their own one-offs (or, would you want a rear-drive Audi TT DTM car?)

By the way, someone's avatar mentioned Brenda Song. The Disney movie "Stuck in the Suburbs" featured this Asian cutie. So let's see who's avatar will feature another cute girl... Anyhow, take care. And I'll probably see how the Mexico/Brazil game goes in Copa America. Let's hope it won't be an upset like Brazil losing to Paraguay 2-1 earlier this week.

The Pontiac Ultimate Aztek Concept that was a concept done by GM that features the 6.0L engine out of the Corvette C5-R as well as its transmission to make this Aztek rear wheel drive. 22 inch rims on Z-Rated tires. Side exhaust. 655hp and 625lb-ft of torque. Racing fuel cell carrying 100 octane fuel. 4 6-point harness racing seats.
Eew WTF that is ugly. :( why o why did it have to get uglier

the only thing i like about that Pontiac Ultimate Aztek Concept is the 22inch wheels, the design is horrible. Bordering on Fiat Multipla insanity me thinks.

Pontiac styling since the middle and late 1990s has really gone straight to Hell in 2000 on up. It's a performance one-off that Ass-tec is. Heck, that Mustang in "Words Fail Me" looks better than this machine, I'm afraid to say. But after all, it's a nice one-off.

The Lotus GT1 was a nice one-off. It looked like a much powerful, more agressive, and even more beautiful Lotus Elise. To me, screw the Daytona Prototype crap of now (reply to this in my "Drifting and Other Motorsports" thread called "Daytona Prototypes"), the GT1 was an example of a normal car being redesigned and given more fight and grace to it. And it does it all so well. I don't think the Elise GT1 ever won Le Mans, but the car is simply pretty nice to look at, even in race trim. I would be very curious to see a road car version of the Bentley EXP GT. It looks like it can be converted to a sexy two-seater, and you can buy one in whatever color. I'd prefer British Racing Green, but maybe dark red, black, silver, white, royal blue, baby blue, whatever you want. Whatever your style.

Any more one-off talk?

I've recently seen for sale in the UK a Renault 5 Turbo1 (the mid-engined Group B rally special) with a Rover V8 instead of the usual 1.4 turbo engine for £8,000!
