A guy I work with is mad on movies and he has a 52inch plasma, he's insane it cost over £4,000, thats over $6,000. Everything costs more here.

HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. It's a digital tag that is added to HDTV programming to prevent downloading on the internet. It's to prevent what happened to music industry, for the movie industry. It' also a flawed product by Intel Corp. that should never been allowed, but with the FCC, money talks...

If your set dosen't have HDCP compliancy and DVI, all you're gonna get is standard-def, or 480p images when trying to watch HDTV programming with HDCP.

Plasma TVs are better than LCDs, for TV viewing, but LCD TVs are getting a lot better, and they are a lot better than they were when I was looking for a HDTV set. True, they need to be "recharged" when they get used up, but the truth to that has really been blown out of proportion.

I wonder what's going to be next, to make tv watching better.

My mobile phone can play movies, I had the Matrix on it the other day. Todays technology that the general public see's is nothing compared to what is all wrapped up at the moment, you should see some of the phones that will be out by next christmas. That applies to all technology markets just phones is what I'm in.

Super-HD, or whatever they will official call it. It will be 2280 x 1240i at 60hz x 2, and 910p at 120hz. It has already been created.

How is that possible? Please tell me how your phone is able to play movies.

I've got a Sony Ericsson P900, you can record and play video clips with it, it has a slot for a Sony memory stick and it you convert an mpeg4 or an AVI file and put it onto the memory stick you can watch the movie complete with sound. It does loads of other stuff as well, heres a site if you interested in the phone.

Oh and one of the games you get for it is V-rally from the PS1.

GT5 will be on the PS3, which will be a blu-ray high-definition recordable disk drive device. Blu-ray will do 720p 60hz, or 1080i 30hz x 2 easily.

Might have quality like this

lol
BTW
Can you explain 3D sound to me?

We can wish, I'm not 100% sure if this is right, but 3d sound is basically surround soud where if say your using it for GT4 and a car goes pas on you left, you'll hear it on the left. I saw saving private ryan with a system that did that and on the beach it sounded like you were there, you could almost feel the bullets whizz past your head.

When I'm older, I'm not going for a big tele, I'm going for projection all the way!

Being abit TOO optimistic there cobra! lol, look at CG in games now, that's about how GT5 should look.

A full game with the detail found in FF10 CG sequences, that would be ace, then the PS4 rumour mill would start up and the omg the graphics are better than life... (wtf) would start all over again, the world will be a better place with PS3 and GT5, but we shouldn't start onj that before we get our share of GT4.

Projection is cool, do you still have to watch you don't burn on the image or is that old projectors only now?

To get this 3d sound, I would need like speakers all over the place? Like some in the back?

Yeah, I think it's the same as surround sound for the setup, the more speakers the better but you don't want to go overboard and fill the room with them. The TV needs to compatibleas well but pretty much all modern TV's are and if you have a 4k plasma it really wont be an issue.

one thing i hate about gt4... its not ere yet!

Great, I'm going to best buy later on to get my set up.

All you need, is a projector, a big white screen, a seperates 5.1 amp (say a harmon kardon/ denon, what ever), and some nice speakers. Then I'll be happy :)

I don't have a big TV at the moment. Theres no space for it and my pool table isn't shifting to make space in the other room I watch TV in, I have the surround sound though.

I'm surprised no one is saying:

"One thing I hate about GT4 is that it's not on shelves yet." Now if you'll excuse me, I got some Fritos Scoops and bean dip to eat. No, the Super Bowl BEEN over with. I'm just burning the midnight oil.
