Well, I was playing the Online A-Spec High Speed Ring race, and I noticed it was way to easy for such a race. I played it with a Hommell Berlinette R/S Coupe ‘99 which I won in the World Compact - chapmpionship, and which I never tuned, and I just blew away the opponents with ease. Ater doing this racea few times I bought and fully tuned the Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Murcielago SV, McLaren MP4/12C, Dodge Viper ACR and Corvette ZR1 all in one go. Too easy perhaps? And a prize of 200,000?!

And by the way, it is the third day I have my PS3, in GT4, it would take a while before I reached this kind of cars...

What do you guys think of this??

I think its to help people get started who got the console/game as a christmas present.

There were a "christmas bonus" on all events last year for a short time IIRC

I think they are real too easy. I mean getting ahead of the AI in one lap is a bit too easy, but it is a sort of good idea for the newer players for some quick cash but ey it's money right?

I found the first two dead easy, but the third one was quite a challenge.

First two were cake but the third isn't. I've tried with several cars, several time and still only 2nd... Has anyone won yet and what car did you run with?

My hooligan spec Audi R8 walked it with sticky tyres:sly:

This one....

(an old shot....it's one of my fave cars)

It's do-able in the Ford mark IV if you drive well though.....I've got one in my online garage that makes for an excellent race in the Grand Valley seasonal. Just send a FR if you want a shot and don't have your own (it's one of the 20M cars).....I enjoyed so much I stuck a car online for others to enjoy too :)

The third one is difficult indeed, but I just won, using a Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R '08, fully tuned and full downforce, I could do laps of 1.44 :D
The fastest opponent was the Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car, who styarted in first place.

come on guys, it's doable in pretty much every 630+ pp car, I won even with a Lister Storm which fails badly every time AI is driving one ;) but if you really have problems just use 2J

I used a Ferrari 330 P4 that i got from grinding the La sarthe B spec race.

If you find it to easy go in with a lesser powered car.

The third race is boring unless the 2J is starting on pole. Then it's fun. :)

It's still not terribly hard but fun.

The 3rd one is about the same level of difficulty as Tokyo in the prior B-Spec online race (and to boot, the same field as well). I ran an underpowered stock 2011 Cooper S in the first challenge on I believe sports medium tires (there is a chance I forgot to switch from comfort soft tires) and it was very enjoyable.

The 650PP event is very dependent on what automobiles you are up against and what tire compound you select.

If you are up against the Zonda R or McLaren F1 GTR you will have a very hard time catching them if you are on RH tires. They will post a total time of 9:04. I'm sure some of the best drivers can put up laps of 1:47 which would be needed to catch these cars. My best laps are low 1:49 on RH tires.

Tires make a huge difference. If I switch to racing soft tires I take off about 5 seconds a lap and my times drop into the low 1:44 sec and the race is easy to win.

That's the thing about GT5, it's up to the individual to set their own hurdles.

Only a few times in this game is an absolute challenge presented. One such was the David Coulthard TGTT Challenge with the Merc SLG. There were no mods and no cheats. It took a high degree of skill and a fine effort to gold this event. Only about 1000 players made gold in North America in that event,

yeah, if I'm against 2J I don't even bother to enter a race

Well, the 2J was not a hard opponent for my Nissan Xanavi GT-R...
But some cars just don't get faster than 1.50.xxx
The Xanavi GT-R, however, reached 1.42.xxx today, so I smashed that 2J (on pole) :dopey:

But that's fully concentrated, almost in a sort of trance xD

Hardest races in A spec are got to be the 9hours 24hs i have done them all and just let me tell you this .

After the 24h le mans i had a little redbull running around my head for 2 days hahahaha its the hardest thing i have ever had to do on GT5

I used the Schultz Motorsports Nissan GTR, it's for sale in the new car dealership, I won pretty easily with this car.

it's easy money thats nice :)

I used a Gillet Vertigo and it was super easy. the car cant corner for its life but its really fast in a strait line.

If you want the money fast I would suggest the Gran Turismo Gt test car as it will easily do sub 1:38sec for a lap and under 8:22(so far) for the race...It won`t matter who they put on pole then...:)

Is that the redbull energy drink or the car? I'm guessing its the drink.......I hope! :scared:

(Not that there's anything wrong with doing the 24hr Sarthe in the X2010, but you can't really have 'Le Mans', 'red bull' and 'hardest' in the same sentence if the 'red bull' really is the 'X2010'!!!:yuck:)

I just hammerd it in my Ford GT as i got a 150 login bonus. Got myself around 6 mil real easy.

As for making it harder i'm getting closer to winning it in my elise, my best so far is 3rd.

What car is that?

It`s the Gran Turismo Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car available in the NCD under the Gran Turismo sign...

Working on winning in an MC-12 on 612pp. Drives just like a big Elise. Not won yet, but when 2nd is worth 400k, it's going to be fun trying.

I just did the third race in the Mazda 787B, and absolutely smashed it.
Seasonals don't exist to be challenging for me, they're all about the money... so I use what I can. :)

Did the third race in a fully tuned Camaro SS '10 (non RM-ed), it's just under the 600pp I thought, but was a very easy win.
