The FGT is needed for a race so it should be available to buy whenever someone wants it, it's as simple as that. The only people who will not be happy with the Online Collectors Dealership are the people who were ripping people off by trading the FGT for cars worth a lot more.

No more being ripped off in car trades.
 
Seems like they realized it was a mistake to make peoe scour the UCD for certain vehicles. I heard many complaints about trucks and FGT and those are both there. Nice to see them fix it

Now THAT would be epic.
Go to your garage, press triangle on a vehicle of your choice, in the drop down menu select 'put on online market', select what amount of Cr. you want/or cars in exchange. So easy, and no more scamming.

Maybe he had 1 FGT waiting to trade with a 908, R10 and a F10 like Ive seem in the marketplace, and rip someone off trading a 5 million standard car for 50 million worth of premium race cars

If he doesnt like the feature he can always skip it entirely and continue to use the offline used car dealership. I really cant understand whats gamebreaking about this wounderfull new feature

Well if you're gonna approach it like that, then of course you're gonna be happy with the easy way out of the OCD.
I just enjoyed playing the races and special events, which got me enough money to buy eg. the FGT. I wasn't being all neurotic and all fed up refreshing the car lot like you. I just went along with it, done my races and tests, and often check it the used car dealership. Whenever there was a rare gem in there, I'd snag it, and one of those cars was an FGT.
Now all you gotta do, is just race your Vette around Indy and there you have it, a very non-special FGT waiting for you in the OCD.:rolleyes:

You do realize over 6,000,000 people have this game right? You do realize that would equal to 10's of millions if not 100's of millions of cars on sale in this online lobby had you had your way right? You should then realize the chances of any of your hoopties being sold are very slim to none if it were set up this way.

It looks like you might be a bit mentally challenged. Let me explain.
If I'm not mistaken, it's still around the same amount the of money (+200k) and still the same level to get one. So racing my ass off? I don't think so. Nothing changed, except the exclusiveness, which just ruined the whole purpose. When it was in the UD, I bought it, if it wasn't, fine, just go along to another race and check another time.

Edit: Seen your reply. Search/filter option? lol. That wouldn't help you get your car noticed when millions of other people are selling the same car idiot. Like somebody else stated earlier in the thread you probably one of those people that would demand ridiculous trades for rare cars that's why this pisses you off.

The only dumb people I see here are the ones complaining because of game improvements and people trading 50 million worth of premium cars for a 5 million standard
 
So these cars in the online dealership are cars that are already in the game?, or are they new cars thats been added?.

Works in Forza, don't see why it shouldn't work with GT5 either :)

Yeah and so do 4WD Vipers. Forza=Fantasy game. Look GT5 supports trading AND gifting. You're not going to hurt for money with this new update. Also you GT5 cant have an online auction like Forza because in that game the cars are mostly unique do to the exterior customization you're able to do, so I can see how somebody would pony up some cash for a car with a cool looking paint job with a cool looking design on it, even if you already have that same car. In GT5 that would be pointless. My ZO6 is no better then yours in GT5, you might have more HP, but I can go upgrade my exhaust and we'd be even.
 
Well thats why every one has their one opinion. I think 4WD Vipers suck and thats the feature I hate more about forza.
The costumization is nice - the livery editor is also very nice but to make a viper 4WD - then it wouldnt be a viper would it? it would be an anaconda

and i just splurged my 4.8m on a stinkin blue FGT last night.. what a waste.

1-at least you where not ripped off trading 40 million worth of premium cars for yours
2- this time around it will be easier (more credits for the same races and more experience doing it) ;)

yeah man, slightly easier. i think its around 20k credits more per race on the american series indy race.
it took me less than 30 minutes of refreshing through the lot for the blue one to pop up in the used dealership when i got enough credits though. so i consider myself lucky i guess :sly:
 
I think the reason theres no online marketplace is simple: The Birthday exploit.

Car prizes would be dropping a lot or some people would make a fortune with selling exploited cars to the volks.
 
I like it. It makes life a lot easier not that it was difficult before it was more of a pain searching the ucd for certain cars and now the problem is solved.
 
I was at level 23 on my second account and had a little over 5 Mil. I went and run the seasonal events to get level 24 and grabbed the FGT. The one there was white when I got it so that is cool as I already have the blue one on my other account.

Still hoping to see the silver one and the black one as well as the black 787B if it is in the game.

btw it is a little more expensive but has fewer miles on it.
 
Would you have been happier if they would gave just set up the used dealership like the new dealership is? Would be nice to pick a color you actually WANT, right? Too bad the FGT can't be painted
