How do you know that?
GT500 is not restricted to 500bhp. There are weight penalties for more powerful cars. minimal race weight for GTR 1012kgs, race weight in GT5 is 1100kgs in it's lightest form for the Stealth F1, that's an 88kgs weight penalty. And 200kgs could be added to that in GT5 to make it 1300kgs, heavy enough for GT500 for your rules?
Or the GT5 restriction can be used to bring the power down closer to 500bhp. You can set these conditions on the game menu, you can set it to exactly 500bhp if you like. This is called setup.
The F1 is GT500 eligible, it just needs the setup for the race regs, what's wrong with that?
The car is supplied to you by McLaren to your garage so you can adjust it to suit whatever class you intend on joining, it's up to you to fit your own restriction to the car to meet regulations.

 You seriously have completely missed the point. Obviously ANY car can be set up to a racing regulation especially in real life. For example Lamborghinis have been run in GT500 a few times from the NOMAD Diablo in the game, to the Murcielago that ran in it recently. If you actually read up on SuperGT the GT500 class cars are limited to 500hp, hence the name GT500.

The point is in the game there are certain SuperGT/JGTC GT500 cars that were included. Those are the cars they want you to run. Not your interpretation of what you can do to make the car fit into the rules. I can make a Formula GT fit those rules as well, its still not a GT500 car.

NO you don't get the point the F1 GTR was raced in GT500, it didnt need much doing to it, just a suitable power and weight. You can not make a formula GT fit the regulations.
Why wont you accept the F1 GTR as GT500 eligible I don't see your problem.

Are you seriously saying that the F1 GTR would not be allowed to race in GT500 when it has 500bhp and 1140kgs?
.....

You came here and asked why you were kicked from a room for trying to use the F1. I'm telling you. You CAN jack up the weight and lower the HP on a Formula GT to the same levels if you want to. Thats exactly what you're doing when you change the F1, Stealth, or GTR.

The McLaren cars represented in this game are not GT500 cars. Change the HP, the weight, it doesn't matter. When people set up a "GT500" room, they want just that, not a "technicality".

If you want to continue to insist I suggest you do a little research as the F1 GTR's used in the JGTC were the 1996 Version, however in GT5 the only GTR represented is the 1997 longtail version which was not ever run in JGTC. The cars were different and modified to regulations, and the one in the game is to FIA GT spec, not JGTC.

You can argue this until you are blue in the face, you are still wrong. There are specific GT500 cars in this game and the F1, no matter how you cut it, isn't one of them, and if you keep trying to use one you're gonna keep getting kicked from rooms.

I had some good races last night, I was hosting a shuffle race and one person kept ramming everyone In every race, a lot of people were complaining so I kicked him, fun clean racing happened the rest of the time. I was also in a Nurburgring street car room, I was leading and some one was in a race car, I didn't give them "the line" because I can't stand people who use race cars in a street car only lobby. In that same session, I was constantly being rammed to the point where I bumped who was ramming me off the track and quit the lobby..
