I'm getting married in May and am addicted to my PS3. My fiancée just suggested I teach her to play, and for me to source a good game that we can play together.

This can only be a good thing for when we are actually married.....!

Her brother left a PS3 behind when he moved to Norway and it just sits idle. Most of the results in a Google search were about games a couple could play while in the same room, but I'm looking for something we can play online.

Any suggestions? My fiancée has ZERO prior playing experience - maybe something to keep in mind. Thanks, guys.

Saints Row: The Third is a CO-OP game and it's quite easy to pick up and play. You could try that.

Littlebigplanet tends to be a SO-friendly game in my experiences.

Ibb & Obb is coming out today and it should be couple friendly. It is under ten dollars on the Playstation store. I am getting it because my girlfriend said she wanted to play it with me.

I just realized my store is different than yours.

Journey, if you can choose to play that with people. Also Tekken. I find you can never go wrong with Tekken. Tekken Tag 2, being the newest, would probably make the most sense. My decidedly non-gamer girlfriend loves Tekken and, for some reason, racing games and even sims. I made her try karting in GT5 using my DFP and she played for like an hour straight (even if she was doing 1 minute laps of Autumn Ring Mini), then a few months later I gave her GT Legends to try with my G27 and it was much the same story.

My fiancée plays all the time with me, luckily, buuuuuut, once she get used to, for example, Dead Nation... OH-MY-GOD...
It was one of the BEST experiences I've ever had with her.
I'd say Dead Nation 👍

I think games like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Last of Us would be great for her. Girls have this tendency to like treasure hunting games better than more complicated once like FPP Shooters.

Puzzle games, play Tetris with her, play Super Puzzle Fighter, and StarDust HD (this is easy game for two and immensely fun)

My wife and I are really into the Lego games, only thing is that it's "same room" split-screen. Won't help you now but it's something you could look forward to in the future.

On the other hand, my wife is a Call of Duty fanatic :yuck:, not my choice of game but it gets us playing together - when not playing GT and need a break from Lego Batman 2:). It's got co-op campaign mode in some games (COD MW2+3), that's usually pretty fun, collecting all the intel and what-not.

One thing I found out about playing with my spouse (or anyone that's new) online, is that it's too easy to leave them behind. Before my wife moved in, we played a lot on-line, I really REALLY sucked at Call of Duty Black Ops 2 so she always left my ass behind :(, it's not fun.

My wife isn't huge into gaming but she does enjoy playing together occasionally. Here are some games she enjoys with me.

LittleBigPlanet (all of them)
TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled
Dragon's Crown (We just started playing this one today)
Saints Row: The Third

I have been playing LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet Karting with my partner.
