Online garage freezing ps3... help!!!

Never posted, but been lurking for a while... And play the hell outa gt5.sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but this problem only happens online...

I can see the lobies, join them, hear other players and talk to em, but I can't go on the track, change cars, or sometimes even load up my garage. It just loads forever with the little clock icon. Then I cante even turn off ps or get to the ps menu.

Everything else works fine, but load times seem really long.
 
This problem is probably due to several factors:

First, go the main menu > options > System and clear the cache.

Second, join lobbies with 5 bars and 5 stars to ensure you have the best connection possible

Finally, if you still have issues, and you are connected to your router/switch using wireless, then see if you can hardwire your PS3.
 
I had a problem with long loading times browsing the garage in online lobbies. It always eventually worked, but it was really annoying to wait minutes for the garage to load/close. Yesterday I cleared the cache and did the pre-install from options menu. I didn't erase the game data first, just did the pre-install (someone gave this advice in another thread here) and I have had no problems with online garage since. Hope this helps you too.
