Yeah, of all the rwd cars I've tried at the new 600PP challenge, the F430 has about the most traction at the rear I reckon. Plus it has downforce as standard which is a good thing for those fast Suzu sweepers... They can keep their Evos and Scoobys for now; I like to feel that urge to let go from the back end.

Most grip I've found from an RWD is definately the Amuse/Opera Z, it was a winner nearly everytime for me if i wasnt held up, but its starts are slow so good overtaking is crucial. Also a car with downforce as standard.

Got my 599, its slow in 600PP but you just can't beat that V12 roar on the start line, makes those Japanese boys jealous and they know it. I'm not gonna get many wins in the 599 due to weight, but I'll enjoy the ride.

Haven't even bought the Amuse/Opera Z yet.. must try one out. Just finished a round of 600PP Suzu races and didn't see any GTP racers out there. Races only have 4 or so people in them so it must be quiet today...

GT5net racers seem quite courteous.. had a good race with one of them just now.

The F430 now turns in slightly slower with a bit of understeer but exits quicker wth less power-on oversteer than before but it still won't catch an Imprezza with a good driver at the wheel.

anybody now noticed that the drivers are not that close now, have they got rid of the online boost

edit to say ime on szk 600 so see you there

Because S2 tires make having less weight from boost a little harder to control so it's more difficult to take advantage.

Anyway, i just won 4 races in a row in my F430 my set up seems perfect, Evos, Imprezas theyre all getting creamed right now particularly on the esses i seem to hold a much tighter line. It feels similar to the Z so i'm not sure which is better, but the Ferrari is much more pleasing to watch and hear.

GT5net seem good drivers i agree, did you race the yellow Evo IX/Tuned? I did and he was very clean without being overly generous, i had crashed and caught up to him round 130R and he let me have the pass even though a block wouldve given him victory.

 Good race uk86, i was messing up badly though as you saw...twice  Still scraped second thanks to your random invisibleness.

I was laughing my head of over that finish line Dragonastic, good race and maybe you've won if you didn't slip of on the 1st corner of every lap
I think its time for a Rari

wasnt keen on the guy with the 599 👎 kept trying to ram me off,if the race about 10 mins ago went down that was my fault, got a phone call from a friend.

Im gonna get my 599 out again, i miss the V12 sound already... i dont care if i lose trust me guys, its worth it.

Yeah, GT5Net_grinceur in his yellow tuned evo ix... a very nice chap, clean lines and thoughtful. Made for a couple of exciting races against him.

Still haven't seen any of you guys out there today... my timing must be off. BTW, how many cars are you getting in your races? I'm only getting 3 or 4 at the mo...

Well you just raced with me, i was in the lead by 2 seconds on last lap then that damn host quit.

Like my launch?? who needs TCS :P

The grid looked so sweet to, was like japanese tuners VS european exotics, first half of the grid was all japanese, second was all supercars. And goddamnit i was winning

600pp at suzuka was good fun last night and pleased to say that people are being very careful at turns 1 and 2:tup:

Evos and scoobys are out in force of course:lol: Weirdly every car that wasn't a 4WD drive car ended up being a F430 in the races I took part in:boggled:

The trye regulations really highlight the strengths and weaknesses in the varying drivetrains:tup:

Yea F430s are common, i use one now and i see why, although i've not met another one to match me, theyre easy to use, grippy and handle fantastically. They also out drag most of the Evos and Soobs.

@Tis true.. shame that race earlier was disconnected; you were blasting it. I figured out one of my problems is hesitating too much into turn 1 to avoid being smashed off.. then I don't have enough speed for turn 2 exit.

And jeebus, how the hell do you get away that quick in your F430? Mine spins if I press a mm too much and I'm using pedals!

Im full throttle baby :P I might post the set up into a new tuning garage i might create. Not sure yet. I have the car set up to get rid of oversteer which obviously means rear grip which means better launch. Good gearing helps to.

Im am tiring of being hit off by Clios and AWDs though.

If you make another tuning garage, running the Garage Showdowns will become incredibly hard.:scared:

So where and when are you guys racing?

I am going to give 600PP another chance. Be on at xx:00.

Go easy on me I have just got used to the super grip of 750PP slicks and mega downforce. Going to be tricky to adjust.

[edit] just tried the skyline hated it, I think I am a Rear wheel drive man through and through.

Been taken out and no longer wish to continue? Feel like pulling over and waiting for the race to end?

No more! Myself and scooby-wrx-sti found the best thing to do when you give up the race.
DOORRIIIFFFTTTTOOOO
I even pulled off a win whilst drifting in my F430 thanks to the S2 tires which allow drifting to hold a similar speed to normal racing.

Thank god for tire restrictions now I need never quit again :sly:

Sorry did not see you out there. I found out that the SRT10 has enough speed to hassle some fast cars, but not enough to really win.

back to the Clio for 600PP :D

[edit] Sorry DustDriver, alot of lag there I'm not sure if there was contact through casio?

Im guessing white evo's are invisible to GTP_type_R and GTP_uk86ze?

Rammed off several times 👎

Are you sure of this. I dont know type_R but I've raced uk86ze several times and he has never done anything of that sort. I highly doubt he would have deliberately done something like this to you.

yep after the second corner of suz just on the run up to the left hander he moved over onto a silver GTR then moved to the left then moved over to the right harder pushing him off then i tried to overtake due to his lose of speed and he did the same to me.

would have had it on video too but my recorder is charging for UKGTP9

Hi Dragonistic,

Please explain how getting rid of oversteer means better launch.

Afaik launch will benefit from a larger weight transfer from front to rear while accelerating and the tyrechoice (and user-input ofcoz ;))
I'm just wondering why you'd say that less understeer sets you up for a better launch.(unless you launch in a corner ;))

I can see how less oversteer gives more traction while cornering, but just as an example, if less oversteer is the result of i.e. more camber, then the launch should be worse!.

Not trying to be a smarta$$, i'm really trying to get to 'grip's with tuning etc.

And my launch is more like a 'chill-out' lounge currently :scared:

Sorry about that but nothing was intentional, I was bumped about 3 times from various drivers in the 1st corner which sent me all over the place and having more torque to the rear wheels its going to look abit erratic

Not meaning to go against what your saying but the only cars that were near you was the GTR and me,i was the only car behind you going into the first corner then the gtr got passed me then the GTR was beside you and i was about 2 car lenths behind you then there was an F430 behind me then the rest of the cars.

Yous were going side by side then just moved over into the side of him twice

All the gearing, suspension and various power settings all came in tandem with a bit of luck and i get decent launches, the wheels still spin in 1st but im out of 1st relatively quickly and it bites right away in 2nd gear onwards.
I also launch in a particular way everytime.
Spring rate is also key, a high number in the front (not to high or you'll damage cornering) and lower in the rear so the weight shifts onto the rear as you said.

your seeming to remember what happened in the 2nd corner and not seeing the root cause on the 1st right corner just seconds before. Ive never ment to drive side to side before and don't intend to drive that style in the future. If you still think I meant it then there's nothing more for me to say as I've already apologised before.

i did though and i said i was the only car behind you and still about 2 car lenths away from you and the GTR got passed me in the 2nd corner when i ran wide due to understeer which is what you did as well meaning the GTR got alongside you and i know you apologised im just trying to explain how i seen it :)

anyway off topic and just noticed the bottom of your sig. How do you rate the K Sport 8 pot brakes and are you running 356mm discs. Thinking off these on mine or willwoods.
