Racing Suzuka 600PP again at the mo... watch out for a French driver - os69. He's a cheating scumbag. Usually a host - quits if he's not winning and smashes everyone off to get to the front. Red Audi R8 he's in...

Speaking of getting smashed off, GTP_Donk did in the last race... then quit. Quitting is very annoying for people that actually want to race. I know getting smashed into is annoying too but it happens to us all and I haven't quit a race yet.

There was one earlier that had a grid of 16 to start and before we'd even set off, 8 of them had quit. By lap 2 there were 3 of us and for lap 3, just 2... Poor show.

Even if our members have a no quit policy, its a start cos racing fresh air for 3rd place is pointless.

Absolute carnage on 750 PP just before. You stood a better chance of winning if you were a slow diver just for staying out of trouble. Every time I rounded a corner there was someone there doing 50km/hr when I'm doing 200km/hr.:scared: Sitting right on the racing line.:grumpy:

Its annoying seeing Evo Xs launch first and reach T1 then slow right down and bunch up the pack causing havoc. There's being cautious, and theres taking the 🤬.
Especially when you just nailed your RWD launch and are right behind them with a large gap between you and the carnage but you're forced to slow and be punted in the back by someone unfamiliar with the brakes.

Best way through is to hold the inside tight, no-one should be passing round your outside if you're quick and even if someone does try, you have the road space which they should leave you or risk contact. This way can hold a defensive line there without being in as much danger for kitty litterage.

2 things to say to that. One is that you must go slower to take the inside, meaning someone ends up on your outside who doesn't know what racing room is, and two is I was finding slow drivers in my way for the entire race, not just first corner. Always sitting right in the wrong spot.

Think though, if theyre on your outside and don't leave room, the risk is much greater for them.

Yeah, but for drivers watching from behind it still looks like a GTP racer just punted someone off trying an overtake on the inside or something. Makes us look bad for their bad driving.

And wouldn't you try and overtake someone on the outside if they're going slow, I would.;)

Edit: Hey look! OzOldTimer has joined GTP! Mate, no one else might know you but I've raced you in the past and enjoyed every second of our races together.:dopey: You are both a fast and clean driver, good to have you here at GTP, and welcome.

just because someone is slower doesnt mean they have to give way to you, unless you're lapping them... it's a race!

Look, a little slower is fine, I put up with GT-R drivers and Lancers all the time and race them cleanly before inevitably overtaking them. We're talking about when you're doing quadruple someone's speed because they had an off or a spin, those people should stay out of the way until they get back up to speed. It's common courtesy.

I hope OzOldTimer saw my post earlier, I can't PM him.:(

ahhh, that's just part of online until there's private rooms....playing 'dodge the car at high speed, oh no, crash'
etc lol

Or my personal favourite the 'HOLY 🤬 HIT THE BRAKES!!!!' When someone touches grass on 130R and starts to turn around.

ahhh im not gna make it XD
Coming from Fuji as fast as i can.

Completely wrong car for Suzuka but i might make it, DB9.

Not going well, the Astons easy upset and punters are out in force today in Evos by the looks, going to have to resort to a quicker car soon. Meanwhile I'll start drifting a little after i get punted :)

Was anyone on Suzuka 600PP last night between 12am and 2am GMT? I did 7 races straight and was pounded into the sand at least twice in every single one. It was ridiculous and in one race, so bad I even quit rather than put up with any more. One guy even braked early just so he could put me in the sand rather than overtake.

My online racing career in GT5P is a short one so far... 3 or 4 days I think but I'm seriously considering giving it up until they arrange either a penalty system for persitent cheaters or private race rooms so we can choose who to kick out or not.

I raced online for a while in F1CE and there was a similar problem there with collision on. Not bad drivers.. people who can drive but use bashing as a means of overtaking when it suits them. Collision could be turned off in F1CE but this obviously took away the need for overtaking skills altogether and led to the bizarre sensation of driving through other cars at 180+ mph.

In GT5P we have 3 types of drivers: Useless, good cheaters, true racers. Each of the 3 is mutually exclusive to each of the others and we quickly need a solution before it ruins online racing completely. I don't care about winning but I only want to leave the track if I've made a mistake thank you very much. Last night's debacle left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Funny, as I appear to be having the same experience this weekend. I am struggling to get anywhere as there appears to be cheaters everywhere. I have just been sent of the track at Suzuka at the final chicane. I was used as a brake. I was in 7th out of eight and he chose to do that. What was the point, apart from a couple of extra credits.

I believe the weekend is when more punters come out, racing during the week has been great, now its pointless.

Anyone fancy meeting in 600PP Suzy and having a drift session or something? Just start the race as normal then edge your way to the side of the track and stop so no-ones effected.

EDIT: Never mind, back in 30 mins or so.

Edit no.2: Back

I got "Kimi'd" at the hairpin and flew off into the gravel. Aswell I had to get onto the grass to avoid that Viper on lap 1 going into the Cassio, it wasnt the Vipers fault because he did get out of shape on the run up to it.
