ONLINE MULTIPLAYER SEASONALS
Race, time attack and drift. How can this be so hard as all the pieces are already there.
Time Attack as limited time period free run comparable to qualification events in real life. Either a timelimit like 20min or as a usual race with certain amount of laps but only the fastest lap times count - not the position in the end.
Its also extremely surprising that a game like gt5 doesnt keep track of the fastest lap in each race. Should be at the race results every time. Same with the highest top speed of the race. I understand these are self-evident in real life races.
What comes to drifting - Theres points system in gt5 for segment and full lap drifting - why cant this be used as a race of multiple cars on track? You can have say 4 laps but only the points that you collect per (best) single lap or segment counts. I understand that its virtually impossible to make drift races in a game as they are in a real life, but why not make the best use of what we already got? (of which opposite is sadly the story of GT5 so far) Its kinda sad to see so many players in pointless online freerun drift rooms without any kind of possibility to actually be valuated for ones skills and see who is the best.
And no - the current single player drift/time attack seasonals with leaderboards are not the same. Its lacking the social side of multiplayer (if you could call it that). Even the chat with headsets alone make the racing so much more fun.
Do I have a point here or what?
