Online player who internet through router?, leave your opinion please

need the bump: OK guys, I've finally bought the router to start to test it, and seems to be that the first I've bought is the one that solves my problem. At the beginning I was 2 days without internet and I was thinking to return it to the shop, but finally with the help of a friend I've done the config. properly and now it's working. Now 10 days of testing left, because the shop gave me 15 days to test/check it to see if it fix my problem, so I'm still checking it but by the moment it works like a charm.

I've to tell you thanks you so much for all your support. My final choice was a LINKSYS WA200G, and the difference from my 6 years old router has been amazing. For example now I've not only WiFi to all the house, but also UPnP support, QoS, DMZ, PPPoE, DHCP and more things I'll use a lot. And what is important to this forum specially: this router works with GT5P perfectly, it's still not configured 100% and it gives me no errors while connectin. For example the old router gave me 10 or 12 error screens for each race, and I was only able to race with 9 guys or more, because with less than 9 guys the router had errors, it needed many racers to have not port errors. This router doesn't have that errors, it works with 12, with 16, and even with only 1 or 2 racers (I was racing yesterday with just a single guy against me, it was a dream).

I'm very happy, honestly, one of the best things that have happened to me, imagine yourself with a 6 years old router, a very bad dsl, and your gt5p not working online at all during months, and you'll understand. I've been many time without driving gt5p so my driving skillz need to be refreshed, but now I'll be there finally, see you on the road and thanx 4 all one more time 👍
 
I forgot to get back to you on this one. A friend of mine in GC uses the Movistar Wireless. I'm meeting him on thursday for padel, so I'll ask him to detail it for me. And I'll ask the others and see what they say, should you have any trouble.

No no, as I said the problem was the old router. I've said on the lastest post that all the problems were solved with this new one that I've bought (the old one was a 6 years old router without DHCP, UPnP, WiFi, etc... it was a so bad one).

Between, you're from Canary Islands?, I think that I talked to you time ago in this forum because you were from Gran Canaria but you moved a lot from place to place I think.. I don't remember well but I think it was you.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH Bjmels, thank you a lot for all your support. I was yesterday looking for you on the online but I saw you were not connected. I raced 4 or 5 times, I was jumping through all the house like a mad guy, so happy to return to the road.

Has you recieved the package between?

No, not yet but hopefully it will arrive today or tomorrow.

Working evening shifts this week, but will be online at Suzuka PP600 after
2200 UK time. See you and other GTP-drivers then...:)

Indeed, I am in Las Palmas de GC. I moved a lot, but not within Spain (USA, Venezuela, etc), but I don't really remember us talking, unless you've changed your username? I mean, I've only met two people from CI here, and one is in LZ and another one is in TF, but it's not you. Oh well, nice to see some chichas here. :lol:

Maybe my error then. Tell them to race on onlines because another from TF is racing ;]
 
Using this router



Belkin N1, Very fast router can handle alot of people on different computers at once and it is also very stable. Pretty steep price though £150 I think.

I use the Linksys WRT54g, nad I haven't experienced near the amount of problems some people have.
