Online racing- I cant remove flag/player ID from HUD

Morning all, Ive had this problem since the update 2.02. I was hoping that 2.03 would address this issue but no joy. Having a flag and the drivers user name above the car when racing online ruins the realism for me. You used to be able to turn everything off in the HUD but after 2.02 update You have better customisation but cant remove player id.

Any advice folks?

I ve binged the net and havent found another post realating to this subject since the HUD was improved 2.02. I cant be the only one or am i missing something?

Yes I posted about this straight after 2.02.
Nobody else cares in the whole world.
I think its a cock up they have not noticed at pd.
Really spoils night racing at the ring.
 
I know there isn't a specific check box for this, but if you select the option of all off in the pull down menu when you hit pause, will that remove the player ID tag in an online race?

Did it ever? I always thought it could not be turned off, but I may have misread that previously.

I ask only because I've never used it and I don't mind seeing who is in front of me or is closing on me, especially if he's one of the faster "frienemies" from my Friends List. ;)
 
Hopefully this will get sorted out. Yes bald one. The norsh at night aint the same and if your racing with 16 players its a mess. More people than us must be suffering. Keep the faith.

Still not able to turn off driver names.

It's not intentional, it's just that too less people care about the flags and player names above the cars. I agree with you that it's silly in the night but I don't care much about them in the daylight..
 
Yea, who got the ideo of putting player names & country flags above the cars? :rolleyes:

Remove the crap & use the extra cpu/gpu power to improve the online physics.
This is a racing game, not World of Worcraft. :sly:👍


Well, at least Forza4 got the same crap. :lol:

 
Please PD can we have the option to turn the flags off again.
Coming from Scotland and having a union jack above my car is driving me to drink.

Ever since you got the ability to turn off the hud, it turned off the flags above cars aswell. Ever since you got the ability to partially turn off the hud, the flags have been permanent.
 
I really hope they fix this issue. It's not very nice that all the names and flags are flying in the air while trying to get into the feeling of good racing ;o)
 
My friend remembers that she turned them off in the beginning...and now she can't find where she did it! She never sees who's in front of her.
