Online Racing - never able to Catch Leader.

I've been doing online racing in Rooms For days.& if your in 2nd or 3rd or4th ,no matter what you can never catch the leader even if you're faster.
anyone know bout this,is it a glitch or a game error or something that happened when upgrading to 2.05 .i see it happen all the time

I don't know what could cause it then. Probably a glitch that PD will fix in the next update.
 
I dont mean to be meany but it seems you sucks. First of all, how you know you're faster since you're 2nd,3rd or 4th ? I have no problem catching up to first if they are in my range.

If you want us to assume that you dont sucks, but it's really a bug, give us some evidence that you were faster. I doubt someone in a Micra can stay in first place if you're 2nd in a veyron. No matter what. Now if you can't win a race that's something else. But again I dont see how you could be faster and not catch the leader. And again, how did you know you were faster ? You can't check the best time of your opponent online so I have really no clue how you know you're faster if you dont catch the opponent.

What you could do is post a replay on youtube of your online race so we can see your problem.
 
I have to say its you and not the game, I race everyday and have had no probs at all. I've caught leaders and won countless races online as well as fighting to hold lead but getting beat by other drivers behind me. Good solid racing as its always been as far as I can see.
 
If you're faster, you will catch the leader. You're just not as fast as you think you are.

Most people that win lots of races online are seriously good at the game.
You just need to go online to find out how good 'good' is.
 
No offense, but it's not a glitch, you are probably deceiving yourself that you're as fast as the leader. Even if you are half or full second faster, if you only have a couple of laps to catch him and he's 4 seconds clear, you won't. I know that once I get a lead, the odd time someone can hang with me in the draft, but once I get a two or three second gap it's usually game over. The game's best "drivers" have maxed out the performance of their cars and if they are in one of the cars that is one of the best given the paramters of the room regarding PP/HP/Weight or whatever, you won't catch him. He's already going as fast as the room parameters allow. You can be as fast as him, but you won't catch him, certainly not in a short 3-5 lap sprint as most races are.
 
Actually i usually have no problems coming back when I'm down on races and sometimes I purposely hold back and sit in 2nd or 3rd as it gives me a chance to put pressure on the higher placed cars and watch their tendacies. I don't make a run on first until the 2nd to last lap. Way too many variables play a part in why you can't catch the leader from Set up to your cars HP.
 
It's usually a case in most rooms of 1 guy gets away fine, another follows whilst everyone trips over each other...
