Yes i have N3 tires on i keep N3 on all my cars and yes i do have force feedback turn on my is on 7 as far as the wheel trying do do its own thing you might be talking about steering assist where the wheel will try to automatically correct your steering i think thats what it does:dunce: but anyway i have that turn off too

No, I don't use any assists of any kind, just when ou start to go sideways the wheel goes opposite lock, but then it does something else I think, which always makes me either snap back or continue into the outer fence.

Edit: Oh, one more thing, do you resort to using the handbrake?

when u say resort to using the handbrake, it sounds like your against the handbrake for some reason. The handbrake is your friend learn to use it properly and it will increase your drifting skills.

this snap back your talking about can be caused by running too gripy of a tire and not countersteering properly.

practice practice practice :) kords setup for the z06 is pretty well balanced so try that tune out.

when u say resort to using the handbrake, it sounds like your against the handbrake for some reason. The handbrake is your friend learn to use it properly and it will increase your drifting skills.

Don't most "hardcore" drifters think using the handbrake is for beginners IRL? Wasn't that the whole idea for Initial D? Things like the scandinavian flick etc is what they use normally right? I don't know, I try to watch the Aussie Drift series but don't know too much about the drifting culture.
I think I might try drifting a Mustang on N3 tyres, if I'm going to drift it has to be a muscle car :sly: and the Corvette is too fast for me and drifting.:nervous: I'll keep the Corvette for normal circuit racing.;)

That is funny man. If u watch any d1 competition you will see them using the handbrake frequently. Initail d?, Thats is an arcade game almost as cheesy as ridge racer ;). You can use the scandinavian flick to initiate the drift but there are times where u HAVE to use the hadbrake.

Im dead serious he said that in drift chat a few times dk was there also it was too funny

That comment happend after i tryed to help him figure a way out to work the handbrake and he got all pissy thats when he said that

I wouldnt say most the time but you can call it the o %*&$ handle it can help u in many ways. The handbrake can help prolong drifts and get you back in the "sweetspot" u could say. Helps when u u get a massive case of understeer also.

HAHAHA what one are you looking for goracle i heard about 5 different storys from this child (namless ). I know for a fact tho he had nothing to say after me and dking distroyed him on the track with HIS tire choice ( s2 and s3 ) needless to say that was my first time running s3 and trying to drift on suzy and he still got shown up. The last 2 laps i took up the rear to watch his "pro" drifting and it was pathetic. I have seen grip racers with more angle HAHA. ( nameless ) even ended up getting mad and ramming dking with the excuse of i dont use a handbrake and when u lock up the ebrake like that i had no where to go. He even had like 80 more pp than Dking and I HAHA

so i dont know what excuse you were looking for me to tell but that was one of the best ones.

The reason of not using the handbrake because his bicycle doesnt have brakes was almost too much for me i had to take a breather after that one HAHAHAHAHA

That's just an amazing video, I would really like to learn how to drift LOL, I can barely hold a slide for more than 1-2sec before getting snap back, but then I haven't really tried since getting a wheel on N3 tyres.
If you guys ever want to hold a drift comp hit me up, I'll follow and judge. If not, get someone who can video it, I'll follow the camerman then we can judge afterwards, we should have a GTP drift event online elimination style.
If I can teach myself in the Mustang (like I said, my car would have to be muscle, and I was almost drifting it in TT on S2 tyres) then maybe I would enter.:dopey:

Since you're such a Holden fan, you should check out the Drift Australia series where there's this dude (Robbie Bolger) who drifts a Monaro!!! I'm sure there're tons of videos on this in YouTube, just do a search for him. Big lazy V8 drifting style may be what you're looking for ;) ;)

I know all about Robbie Bolger, I've been watching him drift since the CAPA Drift Ute, but thanks anyway.
Yes, a big V8 cruising around using torque to drift is what I like, all these imports need to keep their revs up to keep things going, just not my style.
Also in Drift Australia there is a V8 300ZX, Lexus V8 Corolla, V8 Silvia, all nice.

One claiming to have watched countless hours of drifting vids plus done hours of drifting aswell should be all to aware of the need for the handbrake in some situation's.
It's obvious that the handbrake is useful when thought about, If I see someone that is genuinely very talented at something such as drifting, I'm happy to watch and observe in knowing that they are far superior to me, that way I might pick up a few things that might help.👍

I tried drifting in a fully modified Mustang on N1, N2 and N3 tyres and I couldn't even hold one corner. I can't drift, you guys are masters, enough said.
Tis a shame, if I were able to drift I could probably have figured out some drift tunes.
 
lol sorry we are not masters well i am no master just practice 50 seconds into it i mess up and at 1 55 i mess up again

Started drifting when I watched Initial D lol in GT2 then GT3 and GT4. Not as much in GT3.


Currently playing at Fuji with S3's ferrari and it does not bad for grip drift.

Also playing at Daytona lol its fun and boring and gets money easy (no one is there lol)

Hey Paulie. I find that good grip racers can easily get into drifting but not the other way round. So I have confidence you'll be able to be the Robbie Bolger of GT5P 👍

Start practising in Eiger (Forward or Reverse). What I normally do is to run reverse in Drift trial so that I can go for on forever. Forget about the drift points. I'm no expert either but lemme see if I can get a replay or video for you on drifting the Mustang ;)
