which one is more realistic? i always knew there was a difference but could never figure out which one was closer to real life driving physics.

I noticed that when I hit the curb on a corner, the car slips out very easily, no matter how reinforced the car is towards tire slip. I'm not sure if this is influenced by the Race Quality or Track Quality but most likely it is.

ya online the car seems to slip more. i think gt life would be the closest one to realism. since that is the main mode.

I don't know why pd changes the physics of the cars between on and offline racing, dose anyone know why its like this?

the offline physics seems to have a higher fidelity. maybe they had to turn down some calculations for online and hence there's a difference.

Offline, the whole community can help each other go fast by sharing "offline set ups" to defeat the game.

When it comes time for the real/live competition, each racer is now on his own to figure out a set up to compete. Meaning you cant take racer "A's" setup he graciously gave you offline and go run circles around him online.

I really am in favor of the difference between the two.

imo it´s bad there are two different physics. i got very used to my favorite cars offline and can´t run quick rounds online because the cars behaviour ist so different.. don´t get it. it´s a shame you can´t find a good setting in training to then go online and beat your friends. was a big letdown for me when i first noticed it :(

I think that some of the physics in general are unrealistic. You'll lose it on some corners in a race car that i can pull faster in my crappy toyota matrix. The general idea is there and I feel like it trains you to be a better racer, but I'm pretty sure that a Ferrarri 599 could take a 40mph turn that my matrix can do at 60.

well gt is suppose to be a racing simulator. having your car react different online and offline isnt what a simulator is suppose to do. now im not trying to make a big deal about it. i just want to know which of the 2 are closest to real life physics.

Ìts rare that i bother going online to race.......
Either my internet connection is crap or the physics is different but the car handles terrible compared to GTLife.
I get hockey'd online everytime

unless you have telemetry data that the corner radius is exactly the same it is a worthless claim. Perspective on three dimensional space is very different on a smaller monitor than in real life.
