That was last night, had a lovely vintage car parade on the ring... It was so so much fun, and for the first time I was driving the best of the lot... With my wheel and a H Shifter! :D

Joined a roulette race room and then it turned out to be the dirtiest room I've ever seen. I like clean races and normally leave when I get rammed once but this was so funny. The host had his mic on and I laughed my ass off hearing his comments. This was a room full of people who didn't really care who won. Just wanted to race and laugh. Ended up doing like 10 races of 4 laps in that lobby. Every time at the first turn there was a big pile up of cars. Sometimes you narrowly escaped and saw some old japanese car flying by. Also helped me with my dodging and not going off track when pushed. It was like a race, rally and demolition derby combined. Great break from normal racing for once

Going three wide into the corkscrew on Laguna Seca in a shuffle race without anyone being forced off the track.

Oh lord, me and my Atenza have had some good old times.
My most recent race was against a McLaren F1 and a Ford GT Spec I on Cape Ring lasting 5 laps... what a great time.
So the race starts, and me in my 400HP, 500PP family saloon gets off to an... 'average' start, thanks to the front wheel drive. I see the Macca and Ford speed off... for about 5 seconds. At the first corner, the McLaren fails to brake in time, and he crashes into the barrier while I hug the apex wall and speed off. 1-0 to me. The Ford GT is in my sights. We speed around some of my favourite high-speed corners on Cape Ring. Then comes the mega loop thingy. I'm doing fine, when suddenly I notice on my map that the McLaren caught up. The driver isn't amazing, however, and he spins out yet again, hitting my Atenza up the rear in the process. I get a slight speed boost. The Ford GT loses control, and I overtake. Time for the jump. We both land safely, but the GT pulls ahead. The second jump corner, and I generally know how to take it without braking too early like most people. Shame then, that I broke too late and hit the wall rather hard as I left the corner... this allows the GT to pull ahead... and the Macca catches up, and spins out again. 3rd to last corner, the Macca catches up again, the GT spins out and my Atenza is 1st! That is, until the main straight. Lap 2, and they zoom off again... though not for long, again. The McLaren spins out yet again, and then he just gives up. I lol'd. 2-0 to me. :>
So, it's 'Tenza vs. GT. The heated battle continues for the next 3 laps, with the GT slipping up a few times and me, being mostly perfect, sometimes screw up the braking at the second blind corner/jump/thingy. Final lap, 3rd to last corner. We weave through the esses. I brake, the GT brakes, but a little too late. Luckily, he gets out safely. Penultimate corner, the GT slips up. I make my move. 1st place! Final corner! I run a little wide, but the GT does too. Home straight. I accelerate as fast as I can... disaster! I see the GT in my rear-view, he's coming up fast. I don't usually, but today was an exception... I blocked him. Being a good sport, however, I moved over and he won by .2 of a second. What a great race.

P.S: I was on Sports Softs, they were on Racing Softs. ;>
P.P.S: My car is a front wheel drive 4-door saloon, and their cars were low-slung 2-door supercars! I gotta say, I held my damn own.

3 lap race on Nurburgring 24hr circuit, with everyone in the blue Super GT GT-R, someone managed to get a 20 second lead by the time I'd managed to get through the pack. I caught the leader at the start of lap 3 and we swapped places throughout the lap, when we got to the long straight I was just behind and overtook him but then they got the draft and I went on to lose by 0.053 seconds. That was the most fun race I've had :)

Mine is in a 550pp lobby me in my NSX and afew RUFs and a M3 and a S2000 ina 5 lap race on Nurburgring Nordscheilf on SS tires :) anyways it was a very clean race and on the last lap i went for the pass on the backstraight passing the M3 and a NSX then a RUF pulls out and leaves me no room so i go on the outside passing him with two wheels on the grass and two on tarmac (i know it was risky) so i was winning and won by 0.083 epic race best race i ever had on GT5 👍

My IROC Camaro RM race at Dayton last week. A dream to drive, 40 laps on tyres, 185mph, nimble and 3 wide all the way throughout. Not enjoyed a race as much as I have in them.

When i started a 'Hardcore Free Run' lobby (With no aids etc.) some 8-year old joined and begun singing 'Whats My Name' from Rihanna & Drake. He sung the Rihanna part!

I was in a 500pp lobby and I used my RUF 3400S and I spun at the first corner on Cape Ring on the first lap, I managed to catch the entire field again by the end of the third lap and took the lead at the beginning of the last lap and won the race by 10 seconds, it was epic. The 3400S is a superb car!

I was in a 75 mph max room and i was speeding in my Veyron for fun and somebody come behind me and i think ''yeah, lets be roadracers!'' and i speed up even more and fully hit somebody else which i thought was the police and i stopped because i thought i was busted, and then the roadracer behind me says that i speeded and drove left. He was the cop.

You sound like that kind of guy..

Another great NASCAR moment.

Running in an online Kamikaze Nascar race (no holds barred, smash and dash boosted race) I had an extremely laggy connection, caused by my ISP's throttling of the connection, coupled with my partner watching an online tv show at the same time. I was seeing a normal race in my car, although everyone else was p***ing themselves laughing, as my car was all over the place. One of the guys pulled off the circuit, as he could no longer see through the tears. Another guy was dreading the moments when the boost hit me and was pleading with me to stay away from him. (Didn't work, he was catapulted into the air in front of me by some invisible force, unseen by me)

It was agreed by all that it was the most fun nascar run ever, so next time we do it I'm overloading my connection to try and force some major lag!!

I say my best moment was on a shuffle race against VTiRoj, C-ZETA and some toher guys after helping VTiRoj with kis fanfic.
That was the 2nd shuffle race at Eiger ST (ST means Short Track ;)). C-ZETA started dead last and I started one position ahead of him.
He had a great start and let me dead last, but then everyone ahead of me braked too late and went thru the hig side of the 1st turn (the 1st chicane, after the jump), so I decided to take the inside and hope for the best.
I passed EVERYONE, I went from 10th to 1st in one turn. And then I kept like a 0.5 diference but no one could catch me even drafting or late braking, so I took win. I was like "How in the world I pulled that off?!"

Was racing in a pre 1980s room today, sports soft tires or less and the power was restricted to 236 horsepower, I had a blast racing on it, we raced every race in the rain, and it was epic, I won a couple of times and was quite impressed with myself for being able to hold it together and win in the rain. The host and everyone else was fairly clean and were nice guys to race with, I did however loose to a VW Bus in my BMW 2002 Turbo because I misjudged a corner, needless to say, it was embarrassing. :p I did however beat a Countach around Eiger in the rain in my 1970 Skyline, which was pretty cool. Say what you want about GT5, but when you're racing classics online in the rain on Eiger, you can't help but experience the "magic" of GT5 and the entire GT series.

80's cars in the rain? I'm... so jealous. :( (I'm actually tearing up thinking about it)

It was lots of fun, I was in the match for a good 4 hours until I finally left, but then I joined again:p

I've had that kind of fun only once in GT5. I was racing with my step-brother for hours and one of his friends, and other random players who joined. Everyone was a good driver, no one complained. At one point we did Suzuka Circuit in the rain, and boy that was a blast. I had been driving my trusty Evo VI TM SCP in all races and my step-brother races his FD in all races too. I'm doing great with my 4WD but still having trouble catching my bro. I used automatic back then and he used a wheel .Not sure which though. He, ultimately won, by a lot. I placed 3rd behind a RUF CTR2 in a race of 13 drivers. It was great. It was also a good 10 or 20 laps on the track. I can't remember which it was. But I've never had anymore fun then that race. That was back in December by the way. Online just doesn't work out for me. Also, I could never beat my step-brother. Even from driving with people from here, he's the fastest I've raced. He won every race we went to by the way. Actually except one, where I won.

Dihatsu copen and nurburgring gp track 3 laps. I kid you not, that was the best racing I've had in all my online races. First 4 out of 5 people split by less then a second across the line.

Nurburgring GP/D, I was in a chase for first for the first 3/6 laps, as we went into the final corner on the third lap, I braked too late and ended up in the gravel, came out of the gravel just ahead of this other guy who had progressed through the field quite astoundingly. I spent the next lap trying to keep him behind me but we got back around to the straight and knew his car would over take me on the straight. We dragged down the straight to start the 5th lap, he edges out a bit of a lead, we hit the hairpin, and me being a few hundred kg lighter, hit the brakes much later, pulled up just in time to make the corner, ahead of him. This put me on the outside line for the next 2 corners so I pushed hard, got to the tight right hander after the 2-3 double left, managed to pull up beside him, dragged him to the right hairpin, still right beside each other, He brakes earlier, I brake late and run a little bit wide, he cuts underneath and takes the lead, I chase him back up the hill to th schumacher S (?), I over take him heading onto the back straight, but him being more powerful, managed to keep up,we hit the kink with his nose just passed my back fender, him on the outside line, we turn together, and me knowing he is there, made the corner tighter than normal to give him room, his excess power managed to get him the lead by a hairs breadth by the chicane so I pulled in behind and stayed there. Lap 6/6, things begin to get intense. The first turn I braked early, ducked up the inside and held the inside line through the 2-3 sweeper, all the while he is under a metre behind, we jostle through the middle section, end up side by side through the back straight, him with his front end just inside my fender putting me on the out side line, I run wide, as does he, we pull off the grass and head for the chicane again, side by side, Neither one of us yielded so we were side by side into the final hairpin with me on the outside, I tap the brakes, pull behind him ready to overtake through the hairpin. We both brake hard, he runs a little wide, I tuck up between him and the pit lane wall through the hairpin, we exit the hairpin me just a little bit ahead and then, due to his greater power, he crossed the line ahead of me by less than 0.100. Definatly a very hectic race. All the while first was a good 7-8 seconds ahead

Joined a game with only F1 cars allowed, and discovered the joy in riding the 2007 model around the Laguna Seca, with a minor tune adjustment here and there to help me achieve a better laptime than stock settings.

A second driver was on the track with me, (we were only two , unfortunately) , and we had very very close lap times after perhaps 50 or so free / practice laps, consistent 1:02:50 - 1:03:00 from the two of us, and we even both wiped out on a corner here and there from time to time, making this race/event feel even more challenging!

The race countdown began, to a 10 lap race, so I sipped my tea to prepare.

We raced and raced, I took an early lead then he passed me, for the lead for most of the race, until he wiped out and I caught up to his tail. We raced some more as the race counted down to its final two laps, it was intense. I was scared to pass him, only to perhaps lose it in the next turn for drifting to fast.

I kid you not, 50 meters from the start/finish line, his car stops suddenly, and luckily with my hands on the wheel at 10:10 position, I yanked it fast and short to the left, pulling the entire wheel base and plank off my stool/bench, to win it by less than .010 and missed him by a hair.

He then put up a chat message, saying "I'm such an idiot, I pressed the L2 button at the end" and stopped his car on what seemed to be a dime.

Although I think he purposely stopped for me to slam into him to push him through the finish line, I had the faster reflex :) (from RL practice I suppose from defective drivers)

A few moments later, I joined a shuffle race 16 player event, (but we all had the same car) on the Time change Nür track, and held my brakes to prevent a false start. When the Green came on, I accellerate hard right into a car in front of me that didn't move from the start.

I was dirty NASCAR racing and a guy was slipstreaming me, so I slammed on my brakes and got a boost, and when he caught up he tried to ram me into a wall. I turned the opposite direction as he turned and I hit him at just the right angle when he hit me to send him spinning away and I won lol. This was at Daytona. I love when people try to attack and it backfires on them.

One of my best moments was a tyre enduro held in a one-make race at Tokyo R246 with friends.

We agreed on a 40 lap race (~1:40 hours) WITHOUT any pitstops allowed in a complete stock Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo 2seater (Z32) '89.

So it was all about preserving rubber and go really smooooth. A totally different experience in driving and lots of fun feeling the tyres vanishing and handling changing lap by lap till 0% left ...

Since update my races online have been fantastic.
Maybe that is because i discovered some guys friended with GTP racers, and now mostly i enter a lobby from them.

Goes from shuffle racing to 600pp, etc. But always very clean!
Since then i actually didn't had any bad experience (at least not big ones).

Have the patience to find that group of racers that races fair and add them!
I tried to add the GTP's too but or they had too much friends, or my simple name "bertvw" is not enough for them, doesn't mind me. Their friends are on my friends list now too. :)

Some of them i can halfly remember.
GTP_Sausage or sausages, not sure
GTP_Circua or cicua, not sure.

and 2 others from here.

TX for the good races!! 👍

Maybe i should add GTP in my welcome message or smth...💡

My favourite moment has to be when I was in a 550pp lobby on LeMans 09 (chicane version). I was in a 500pp GTR because I thought it was only a 500pp race. As you can imagine, I was left for dead on the straights, but was able to catch up at the corners, due to the other drivers cutting and getting penalties. Going into the last series of chicanes I was about 10 seconds behind the leading pack of 3 drivers, but as I got to the last chicane I realised they must had cut the chicane because they were all ghosts and moving like snails. I zipped through all of them to take the win with a big cheesy grin on my face! :sly:

Just did a race on Spa. After two laps I was leading and was pulling away from the second placed guy. Suddenly I noticed he got very close. He gained seconds in a short period so I guessed he was cutting corners. And yes after two laps I see him closing in on the big straight and after the chicane at the end of the straight I see a big cloud and him coming right behind me. I pulled away from him again and at the very end I see him going on the grass to cut the final chicane and I thought there goes my win. Only to see him ramming that little wall on the left straight on :D I won the race and kicked the guy right after the race.
