Only 31709 with Final times

There was over 765,000 entrants for the final time trial from what I've read. Where did the number 31,709 come from ?? The UK had over 148,000 participants for the qualifier!

I think he's looked at the mygranturismo sites figures, but they don't add up.
If you look at the total figure there, but then look at the UK and Germany entrants they add up to more than the overall total alone...

Yes I looked at mygranturismo.net leader board. So it is not true number? There are 262,000 for the 370z qualifying trial but less than 32000 for the GTR trial. So still over 700,000 didn't bother trying to get a recorded time. Practice 1 had over 500,000 entrants, the numbers drop with each succeeding level, it looks like it was too difficult and the time needed to get clean laps wasn't worth it, for most.

If you look at the last 4 times they are in the 10 and 11 min with the final time being a 20:50.7. I couldn't see 5,10 or even 20K more times going longer then a 20 min lap......

Whats your thoughts? To me numbers seem to be way down this year.

And yet Sony say 1.3 million people set a time for the actual qualifier - the 370Z full lap of the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.

I still find the UK entrance this year amazing, 140,000+ really goes to show this competition is growing every year!
