OK, the Q and A people have been stumped. Let us see what the rest of you got!
:sly:

I'm a newb to online racing...
:)

In the event restriction choices it give you 5 choices at the top for cars that can participate in the race...off the of my head they were
Unrestricted
Karts only
Formula 1
Restricted
Online Garage

My question is that when I select "restricted" or "online garage" I can only pick from a list of 52 cars. The cars that I want to be made available for my races are not on the list. crazy! LOL

Is this the final design of this option? could it be due to my lowly progress; i am at level 10.
it seems pretty crazy that GT5 will not let me create a race event with, for instance, only Mazda6 and RX-8s since they are not on the list.
:yuck:

What is this idiot missing?
:dunce:

merry christmas!

I am under the impression you only have those 52 cars. I had a room for 2 hrs today and ran out of cars to drive after awhile...it's rather frustrating. Hopefully there is a way around this.

you need to add your own cars to your favourites

I do that right at the moment I buy/win a car. This list does not show them at all.

one would think that the 1,000+ cars in GT5 would be available to chose from in these restricted events instead of a few cars from each group. but i am also new to GT so maybe this silliness is par for the course?

i will explore this issue later tonight and report back.
:)

No, I only have 7 or 8 cars at this time.
:)

when you want to setup a 'restricted' race do you see the option to 'choose up to 10 cars from the list?' it is this list that only shows 52 cars.

52 cars online just isnt enuff...
I believe lots of people are bored already with the 52 cars and would love to see the whole selection of cars online to choose from.

Hopefully in future updates Kaz will fix this up.

Yeah, so has anyone figured this out yet?
I am noticing the SAME thing, and cannot figure out what is up...
SOooo, let me get this straight:
I get online and create a room with the car I am currently driving ('71 Charger Hemi) and I want to make a room where only Muscle Cars can join (late '60s thru '70s American Muscle)...but I don't see any of these cars in the restrictions list!?!?!
So, I basically have to just set it up an UN-restricted and keep an eye on every car that joins to see if they fit what I am trying to set my room up as? Is that correct???

This is such a stupid, stupid mistake on PD's part, they should make it that you can restrict your rooms EXACTLY how you want it! 💡

Yes. If you want a certain kind of race you have to write (for example)"muscle cars only" as the title and kick anyone who doesn't bring a muscle car

waait a minute when you set cars to garage only, is everyoe actualy forced to drive YOUR cars, with your settings tune etc, or just that model car, but their own variation?

No you have to pick from a pre defined list of 52 cars. Even if you have your own car that fits within the regulations you have to pick one of the 52 cars, which are un-tuned and you cannot add any parts to them.

I think that's the basic livery of arcade unlocked cars right?

I don't get why PD likes to limit stuff like this... I suppose the thinking was that doing giving you access to all cars would remove your desire to go earn those cars for your own garage... seems like cutting off the nose to spite the face to me

This is frustrating really, a question I asked myself recently. There's plenty going on online just now which means that it's not an essential addition right at the moment but in time people will want to be able to fine tune car entry specifications.

I wanted to be able to set up a Group B challenge between the RS200, the 205 Evo 2 and the Delta S4 but short of following the approach advocated above where you kick anyone who doesn't follow the room rules there's not much you can do.

Actually even labelling the room is weird. I tried to enter 'Group B - Ford v Lancia v Peugeot' but it actually isn't possible to write this for some reason.
