Im never been particularly interested in Nissan Skylines and with so many modes in the game i look and think...they all look the same to me.

So my question is if i was to get one and only one skyline, which one should i look for and why?

It would be helpful for pictures and suggestions of colours/mods/tuning tips for me to get the most out of it and possibly show me why they are so popular. :)

It may appear all skylines are the same, but it is the engines that are different. R34 different from R33 and R32. This also means different modifictions will add more power to certain cars, and less to others.

Has to be the Mine's.

Even though I hate most Skylines for they being 4WD, I find that the Mine's is a very fun ride.

I don't have any need for it..i just wanted to find a good one and see what the fuss is about and try it out for the experience i guess

I have seen that so many times in my UCD and seeing as it was a skyline just left it...bet you it will not show up again

I'm partial to my R32 GT-R Vspec II. I just love the feel of it with my current tune. The fuss is not the game... its the legend that the car is in reality in motorsports really.

Any of the skyline gtr's in the premium dealership should do the trick for you. Or the GTR V-Spec '09, but that's a completely different beast.

Personally I'd go for a R34 V-Spec II Nur '02 in Bayside Blue or Midnight Purple. Tune it to about 600hp, with all the other bits and pieces and take it out on to Tsukuba or Suzuka and let rip.

Cheers for the advice

Oh for a recommendation... THe blitz 4 door skyline. Just nutz and fun to drive. It is bought in the dealer somewhere for something like 500 000CR

I take my post back.. My nismo R34 is pretty epic as well. Street car stock with roughly 500hp.

What makes these cars epic though is what i am unsure about. There are so many to choose from and the slight differences confuse me

What lots of others here saying...AWD R34 GT-R or anything between '99 and '09. They're AWD, powerful, and handle great. I had a stock one that started out with 276 hp....by the time I was done modding it, it had over 800 ponies under the hood. They don't call 'em Godzilla for nothing!

So i basically cant go wrong with an R34

There are so many interesting variations on the theme it's hard to pick. I'm fond of my R34 R-tune, but just about any R33 or R34 is a blast to drive on street tires, thanks to the mobile rear end and rear-biased AWD.

Skylines are funny things... Understeer, snap-oversteer, power-oversteer, power-understeer... Sometimes all within the space of one corner... Some people complain about the lack of challenge, but they're always interesting to drive.

The Mines is the ultimate Skyline. But it sure isn't cheap.

Cheers for the info depth

I have plenty of cash to splash so i should be able to get it

PD did a good job of making the Skylines handle differently based on many factors. When you see "Vspec" etc that stands for "Victory Spec". These cars in reality and on the game differ from the normal Skyline in terms of stock power, weight, suspension, wheels etc.

With a wheel, drive a stock R32 GTS-T and then drive a stock R32 GT-R from the dealership you will see the difference.

I have a dfgt that i just recently got so i might have to investigate

Yea its funny I even gave my Gts-t the same settings as my GT-R and it handled differently. I mean the AWD system of the GT-R will change it up for sure... but they are the same chassis just with different bolt-ons and bracing. I prefer FR in real life so I set my GT-R to a 10/90 vcd split. Im not a fan of AWD cars.

get the Nissan GT-R lol. it is actually devolope from skyline. It is the new skyline without skyline name on it.

I've only seen the R-33 based Mine's (standard) in the UCD. The Mine's in the new dealer is an R-34 (premium) based one.
