This may have been covered before but I couldn't find a thread so I'm going to start this one.

Everytime I try to join a race in the Open Lobby it will not let me join, I get a message saying

"Entry was refused due to network incompatibility with the room owner.
[706]"

How can I stop this happening.

I think you may need a better connection.
I have a problem as well that I hope someone can answer. Don't shoot me down for doing the money glitch, but I have been doing this and every now and then I get to lap 1xx and then it says I have been disconnected from the server. Don't know why.

You don't need to answer my question as it's not my thread but I felt this was a good opportunity to include it.

I got the same problem that started yesterday It never happend before. Im on a 100/100 Mbit fiber that only My family use

I think it depends in part on what NAT type connection you got. If its different to the host then you get that message. I'm on NAT type 2 i believe, and very rarely get that message anymore.

I'm getting the same problem tonight. Have had rock-solid connections since the game's launch, also have played with the room owner on many occasions with no trouble before???

I've re-booted the console and modem, cleared the cache.. still no go... Sucks :(

Sometimes its also useful to go into the XML-network settings menu and reboot the connection to your modem.

I think the correct sub-menu option is 'Connection Test'. When you do it, it resets the PS connection to your modem (it runs through some tests such as IP address) and re-establishes the NAT. A few times I have found my NAT becomes 'unknown' for some reason and when that happens, online rooms become hopeless. I follow this process to reset it back to NAT2.

Yeah, I did the connection test, came back all ok.. NAT type 2, 9Mb download/ 1Mb upload.

Also had trouble signing into the network (that's when I did the connection test to see where it was breaking down, but that worked fine).

Edit... I ended up starting my own private room, then I got booted from that as soon as one of my mates (the previous room owner) joined.
